"He'd have to be psychic though. I met and was hated by Danny before I even met Matt."

She pauses.

"I'm psychic."

"Maybe you're obviously Matt's type, I don't know, ask Danny."

"Hmm. I might ask Jackson. I'm probably thinking too much about this."

She starts eating.

"How psychic are you?"

"I can tell you're thinking about Matt right now."

Juliet laughs, "Mostly I was thinking about how quickly I have to eat all this before the end of lunch."

"Yeah, let's actually use this for what it is."

He eats his lunch.

"You should be pleased! I haven't taken out my camera this whole time."

"That's true. I must be a good influence."

"You are a Pillar of the Community. We should build a statue in your honour."

"I don't think my ego is big enough to fill a statue."

"It's cool, I have enough for the both of us, with some left over."

"Where's it come from? Girl to girl. I'm working on mine."

"The Salvatore ego is legendary, so it's genetic."

Sigh.

"I'll need a bit of those, then."

Lunchity lunch lunch.

"You wanna make out and see if it's contagious?" Beat. "But if you're not into girls, there's always my cousin, Stefan."

"What's he like?"

"He's like.. the strong silent type. Likes to brood, though in this case it's not attractive because cousin. He likes reading and working on cars and all the other things that we do together, because I'm the best. He's funny when you get to know him. And also has a tragic backstory! His first love died, it was all very sad. For him. She was a bitch."

"Not my type, but I can keep an eye out if you want to set him up."

"I mean it's unlikely to work, but yeah, if you find anyone..."

They eat their lunch, and then they have classes to get to.

"So should I just skip Gym altogether and go hang out in the darkroom, or actually go and tell the Coach I'm not participating?"

"Coach Finstock definitely won't let you skip gym if you ask him, but he won't stop you if you don't."
