There is a certain bookstore just one street out of the way of the path between school and Terence's house. In that bookstore a certain corner has a large pile of unceremoniously stacked books labelled '25¢ each'. Terence is digging through them for science fiction. Most of it is self-improvement books, or recipe guides, or trashy romance novels. The few sci-fi pieces he finds will probably be really crappy science fiction, but he still has to try.
Sadde's face, which could've previously been described as 'hungry,' now switches to 'boyish glee' as he takes Terry to an appropriately secluded spot and looks at him expectantly.
'Slightly nervous anticipation' is the correct description for Terry's expression right now.
He leans forward a bit-
"Mmm!"
Terry is not much less enthusiastic, but significantly more hesitant.
That disappears as he gets used to it though.
Good! Terribly good!
Also, it may become immediately clear that he has done this before. Several times. With many different people. He clearly knows what he's doing.
Terry is far from bothered by this, though he is... Not nearly so experienced. He's trying! Not all that well, since Sadde's so good at being distracting, but he is trying.
Who cares Sadde can be good enough for both of them and can continue to be distracting and hug and kiss this adorable nerdy boy.
The hugs are a bit surprising. After a moment's consideration, he will return them.
When he has a chance to breathe, "This is very different and just as good!"
"Different from what?" he asks, and starts kissing down Terry's jawline to his neck while his left hand slides up to the back of Terry's head so he can scratch it, letting his mouth free to talk.
"The only other time I kissed someone." Terry's hands mostly haven't been doing much, but he grips Sadde's arm when he starts on his neck. "I, think we just didn't like each other much, because now I can see why people like making out."
He giggles into Terry's skin and pulls away a bit to look at his face. "Making out is great," he says, managing to pour all his enthusiasm into that word. "It is especially great when the person I'm making out with happens to be, well," and he gestures at Terry somewhat vaguely.
"Am I really that great? I mean, you're cheerful and cute, as a boy and girl both, which is plenty to start with but we still don't know each other very much yet."
"We don't, that's why I mentioned we just met and it's just a crush, but I mean, I've kissed lots of people with much less than that to go on. As we know each other better either we'll not want to kiss anymore or we will, and in the latter case I expect it will get progressively better because there will be more to it than crush on adorable smart nerdy boy."
This could go on approximately like so for a while. Terry doesn't move to escalate beyond kissing slightly further afield than Sadde's mouth.
Well, Sadde sometimes will do the 'kissing down the jawline to the neck and shoulder and back' thing sometimes, and he'll experiment with some nibbling.
Terry does seem to like this.
Sooner or later though, "I kiiind of want to experiment with the cards some more. Not that kissing isn't great, but I feel like I'm saturated on it for now."
Sadde giggles. "Yup, perfectly fine by me," he says, and plants a peck on Terry's lips before letting go. "So, uh, what's exactly the story with these cards, anyway? You said you found them yesterday...?"
"Cerberus is the one who knows their backstory. I haven't heard much of it yet either. I was just looking for something to read, saw a neat-looking book, accidentally discovered that they were magic when The Flower covered my room in them. And then I biked out to the woods and tried to call Windy and the cards scattered everywhere, quizzed Cerberus and then he made me the card captor so I could catch them again, and here we are. You sure you don't know why they got scattered, Kero?"
"Some kind of test maybe? They can't talk, but some of them are smarter than others. Float is really simple. Windy is big and complicated and hard to understand. Flower and Change seem somewhere in between, closer to the lower end, I think."
