The thing that it is important to know about Ophelia Vaudelle is that she had a choice to become a Weaver - and when she reached the last few feet of the Path of Needles, her final step took her not *off,* as one might expect, but instead quite deliberately *aside.*

Ophelia Vaudelle is one of a *very* few sorts of Roses who maintain any connection to human life, and quite possibly the *only* known example to be symbiotic rather than parasitic upon such societies.

She is also a fully functional Prince, according to the Path of Pins, specializing in what she calls 'deep solutions' - solutions that do not only solve the issue at *hand,* but ideally prevent *future* potential issues of the same *ilk.* Where one Prince might grant a farmer the main strength to haul wagons to market, in the wake of a plague upon the town's cattle, Ophelia Vaudelle will - well, perhaps in this case she *shall* grant that man strength enough, or the ability to animate objects, but she'll also teach the town's Hearths how to burn out the animalicules of sickness - because a job half-done is a job undone, and she has a *duty.*
