Mechanos considers most acts irrelevant, because most acts don't save the world from the inevitable apocalypse that superpowers will, ultimately, produce.

Fortunately, someone is prepared to take whatever acts are necessary to save all humanity from the first person whose power is "blow up the planet I'm standing on." There may, admittedly, be some casualties in the process, but however unfortunate that is, it is still better than the end of all life.

Now if only he didn't use apocalyptic weaponry to try to do it...
