viangyr are a possibly real, possibly urban-legend psionic monster, supposedly created from greenstones by a high level priest of Deep Duerra when he seized a region in her name. the viangyr were created as a weapon of terror against the local population, and a bringer of liberation in the priest's mind. he bestowed them with great psionic powers and commanded them to slay anyone holding back the potential of others.
