An AI-run utopia where large portions of the population spend their days larping variously-involved and complex stories, lasting from a few hours to thousands of years. No FTL for matter but they do have ansibles, allowing people to travel across the technologically-established universe by creating new copies of themselves. Lots of morphological freedom, forking and merging are trivial.
