Realms or shards are different bits of some previously unified reality. Different realms are different amounts of awake and aware and have different amounts of metaphysical weight. Some of the weightiest and most awake realms are the fishers, a group of artificial realms created by some unclear force in the wake of the cataclysm with the goal of bringing reality back together.
