This is a very weird sort of collective insanity.

"Why," says Katin, holding his hand.

He takes Peka and Macalaurë too. Pop now they are on Way Island. He switches to English, asks his alt to bounce translations - "Rebecca, Kat, Catherine, there's someone you should meet!"

"Who is it?" calls Rebecca.

"Another alternate universe version of you and Michael and Catherine!"

"This is getting ridiculous!" She shows up, carrying Jeremy and trailing curious little girls.

"Wow you're ugly," says Katin to Kat.

"Well you're stupid."

"No I'm stupid she has to be something else," says Catherine.

"Like what?" says Kat.

"I dunno."

He squeezes Peka. "Uh, hello."

"Hi!" says Rebecca. "I'm Rebecca. Michaaaaaael c'mere -"

He comes through the door looking a bit tired. "Again? Really? Did someone try to kill you also?"
