It's not a very good internet because of the absence of billions of people but they can at least instant message each other and put translations of things and pictures of things up and the Amentans confined to their island can communicate with the space Elves who are running around teaching their magic counterparts engineering.

Ulmo says that the Valar have done magic such that boats trying to reach Valinor will just get turned around and boats which persist will sink. And that they could all together probably send visitors home but that Ulmo has no idea how to do it on his own.
