She puts her book down beside the bed and curls up all the way into him, closing her eyes.

He wraps his arms around her and kisses the top of her head.

She drifts off in fairly short order.

He takes a while longer to fall asleep, but manages it eventually.

In the morning she quietly picks up her book again while still cuddling him. She--hopes he feels better, after a good night's sleep.

He sleeps later than usual.

 

When he wakes up, he wraps his arms around her and presses his face into her shoulder and doesn't say anything.

---Okay. She continues to do cryptography for a little while, then sets her book down and starts petting his hair.

"I love you," he mumbles indistinctly into her shoulder.

He can have a lot of it, then.

Maybe he will just spend all day snuggling her that sounds like a good plan.

Well she will require food but otherwise yeah.

He can conjure food. He can even eat some.

And she can snuggle him so much.

"I love you," he sighs.

"I love you very much."

Wryly: "The fact that my problems are entirely my own fault is - less of a comfort than usual, this time."
