Telri likes Iomedaeans!

Normally, Telri spends her time up in western Ustulav, trying to mitigate the whole "horrible destructive war" thing that she arguably sort of started in some slight form. The rest of her party is in Absalom on a shopping trip, though, and Telri really isn't a city person so she's been browsing the Isle of Kortos, seeing if she can green anything up. There's apparently some kind of deadly dungeon thingy over around Otari, so she's paying a visit over there to see if there's nice prices on anything druids and nobody else can use, or adventurers over in the local Adventurer Inn who might want to help out? She hasn't actually been to very many Adventurer Inns before, and she's curious what they're like!

Adventurers around here often hang out at the Rowdy Rockfish! It's a nice place, clean and well-lit. There's a young woman people-watching from the bar who's obviously an adventurer--sword at her side, shield and breastplate tucked politely under the barstool, Iomedae's symbol around her neck.

Oh, Iomedaeans! They tend to be unusually reasonable people. And it's not as though she has anything against men, most of her party is male, but when it comes to humans and Forlorn, female adventurers tend to be way less annoying.

(Telri is also female, looks young but so do her ancestors unto the first generation that figured out cyclical reincarnation, and also looks like she is probably an adventurer, probably pretty scary by her gear, even if her Very Large Cat is not currently here. She's got her amulet tucked out of sight, for Not Being A Mugging Target reasons. She is very visibly an elf.)

She'll sit down next to the Iomedaean priestess!

"Hello! I don't recall seeing you around and I don't think I'd've forgotten. New in town?"

"Just visiting! I've mostly been questing up in Ustalav. I'm Telriana of Kyonin."

(She does have a Kyonin accent to her Taldane, or at least one unlike most Inner Sea elves.)

"Samora. I've been clearing out a nest of undead from under the Old lighthouse," she says with a tilt of her head in the direction of the coast. "I hear Ustalav has plenty of those itself."

"... Yes," says Telri. "Yes, yes it does. Also quite a lot of unholy aberrations, demons off the Worldwound and cultists of ancient gods whose influence drives mortals to madness, but yes, mostly undead recently since they, uh, woke up."

"Wow, the resemblance is uncanny! Except instead of demons we've had a couple of devils. Care to tell me a story of your daring deeds, or would you rather drink and think of other things for an evening?"

"I have been doing much less of the, uh, daring deeds, than I have been healing and casting spells on people doing dangerous deeds. In general we're trying to stop a lich from conquering the country with his army of invincible undead soldiers, but this is... not going great?"

Samora wishes she could help, but now that they've gotten the inhabitants of the lighthouse riled up it would be wrong to abandon this town without seeing the matter through. The church can call her away if it gets dire enough.

"That's unfortunate. No liches under the lighthouse that I know about so far." She touches her holy symbol, apotropaically but nonmagically. "I've been doing a lot of healing too, just from close enough in that it doubles as attacking the undead." Also sometimes the opposite of that, but that's party business and not for chatting about.

Telri nods at that. (She doesn't have any apotropaic gestures because her mother doesn't believe in them. Mostly she just pets her cat.) "Do you mind if I ask what the local Plant Growth situation is? Kortos seems... not great... on that front."

"People generally have enough to get by, but I'm sure the farmers who live along the post road would be grateful for a better harvest this year. I think the areas further inland have it more reliably."

"Thanks." (This is all usually true. She should probably check with a local Erastilan if she wants more information.)
