"A coded sequence of touch?" Satele demonstrates.

She nods and casts, and then taps to open the portal, which leads to a small room with no other apparent exit. "That room checks for exactly one Jedi being in it, Occlus' room checks for them in particular and that they've dropped off their portal hoop to be teleported back to their world. Once all three of those conditions are met, a portal will open to the meeting room for each of you. And if you use the force while you're there, you'll be teleported back here, so you can't get stuck there. Okay?"

"Very well."

"The portal on this side will close as soon as there aren't any Jedi in the room, or five minutes after it's opened, or if you do the sequence again." She demonstrates the last one.

"I'm offering Occlus the holocomm on this trip, right?"

"Okay." She reaches into a belt pouch and the 'comm appears in her other hand. "I'll stop back in when I'm done," and she's off to Occlus' hallway.

It is as unchanging as ever.

And what does the droid have to say about Occlus' location today?

That she's at the temple dig site.

The kobold will go be at the temple dig site, then, starting on the outskirts and working her way in until she reaches the temple or comes across a patrol.

She finds a patrol first. They bring her to the gate and comm ahead to alert Occlus.

She follows along agreeably.

A short time later, Occlus emerges.

"Hello," she bows. "Satele asked me to make it so that the two of you can get to the meeting place without me, and also to offer you this secure holocomm; it's got a hardwired connection to one in the Council chamber." She offers Occlus the hardware.

Occlus gestures, and one of the guards takes the comm.

"Have that checked," she directs. "What do you have for getting to the meeting place?"

"I haven't set up all the spells for your part, yet, but there's a new staging room between here and the meeting place that you'll be able to teleport to once I do. It has a place for you to put your portal hoop that will teleport it back to your office, or wherever you want me to set it up to send it to, for you to pick up when you're done - I can add a viewing portal for you to see that it's done that, if you like - and once that's done and Satele is in her new room, portals will open to let you both into the meeting space. And I'll set it up so that if you use the force in your staging room, it teleports you out, so you can't get stuck there."

"My office will suffice. And I do require a viewing portal."

She nods. "Would you like a portal there to let you get to the room, too?" She offers her hand, somewhat questioningly.

"Yes."

Occlus declines to take the kobold's hand, opting instead to walk through the portal already set up and then take the lift to her office.

Well, okay then; follow follow.

The casting should all be pretty straightforward; she can't walk Occlus through the whole thing - in fact it won't work with the kobold in the room at all - but the hoop teleporter and the teleportation back to the office are the most important bits from a safety perspective, and those are available to test. (The viewing portal is cast on the back of a pane of glass that's set into the wall, so that it can't be reached through.)

"And if I don't bring the hoop with me?"

"Then you can't go through. I don't have another way to check that you aren't bringing it with you without coming myself."

"I see."

Occlus has no further comment.

And she bows again and leaves.

Back to Satele's room, where she reports in; if that's straightforward, she makes a portal to check on her cave before perhaps teleporting in.
