Eventually, dinner is over.

A few hours after that, the kobold appears outside the building the Sith will be appearing in, and heads inside.

It is currently empty except for the Jedi. Tima and Yarin are standing near the conference room door, Lyo and Salle are in a meditative posture near the opposite wall.

She nods a greeting to Tima and Yarin, and picks a spot well away from the door to settle into with her sketchbook.

Every few hours, the Jedi switch off who is actively guarding and who is resting. There is always at least one Master awake.

Twelve hours later, all four are up and talking quietly. The Sith still hasn't shown up.

The kobold stays awake, and quiet unless spoken to, through the whole night. When it starts to feel like morning, she stands, stretches, and teleports away.

An hour later, she shows up at the cafeteria, with a slightly smaller collection of fruit than usual, yawning.

"Good morning! Late night?"

"Yeah," grin. "No Sith yet."

"We weren't really expecting one so soon. They'll have to find them first."

Nod. Nom.

Nom nom class time?

Yup! It's more of the same, working with the magic detection form.

The two who got it yesterday are able to replicate their success without much difficulty. Ana is the next to get it, and the last two manage one success apiece before class ends.

The kobold is appropriately congratulatory, and tells the group that she'll have something more useful for them to cast on tomorrow, and sends them home.

"Want to go check on the Sith before lunch?"

"All right." Hand?

Hand. She lands them just inside the door to the building.

There is a Sith inside the building! He is kneeling in the middle of the floor and has a bloody nose. The Padawans have their lightsabers out and lit. Master Lyo is meditating in front of the Sith.

Not bad. First things first: switch over to the more force-sensitive form of magic vision she put together a few days ago. Any obvious differences between the Sith and everyone else in the room?

The flow of Force he is drawing is miniscule, compared to everyone else. Master Lyo seems to be blocking or deflecting it from the Sith somehow.

That's actually kind of neat but also not very useful.

Mage-sense scan; does the Sith have their lightsaber, or any other unexpected objects?

No lightsaber, no unexpected objects. He is quietly seething with rage at his situation and embarrassment that he was so easily trapped.

Yeah, that's not unexpected at all.

Tima doesn't seem to be particularly occupied; the kobold asks with eye contact and a gesture if they can step into one of the adjoining rooms.

They follow the kobold.

She closes the door (Ana may come in if she wants) and speaks quietly. "What Master Lyo is doing is stopping me from being able to see what I need to; how dangerous would it be for them to stop?"

They consider. "With the five of us here... the risk is low. I will ask you to stay well back, though."
