Yay! Ana likes getting better at things!

Scritch scritch trance trance.

And the kobold leans into Ana and works out her plan for teaching magic to a group. She's not in any rush.

Eventually, Ana breaks out of her trance and yawns.

"Okay. Bedtime for me."

"Okay, have a good night. Oh, actually - just so you know, you can pass that sense on to others the same way I did to you. It's not dangerous, but it's a good idea to get in the habit of avoiding it anyway, so you don't make a mistake when you're casting."

"No scritching anyone but the kobold while playing with shiny new magic. Got it."

The kobold giggles. "Yeah, sorry."

"I'll survive somehow." One more scritch, then off to bed.

Off to bed for the kobold, too.

She's back in the morning with a larger bag of fruit; mostly the same things as yesterday, but she found a few more types that pass Bar's scrutiny, and there are a few of each of those as well. If she's timed it right, she'll be just about done setting those out when Ana turns up.

Ana is slightly late this morning!

"I was trying to trance and walk at the same time," she explains. "But I couldn't keep my focus up."

Nod. "You'll get better with practice. It's hard to use the new sense as a sense, at first."

Ana sighs theatrically. "I hate practice. Oooh, some of these are new!" She takes a slice of the fruit.

"Sure, but then you get magic and it's all worth it," she chuckles, "right?"

"That's the theory, at least!"

Nom.

Grin, nom.

"Any news this morning?"

Ana pulls out her datapad.

"Yeah, Master Satele sent the list of trainees. There's four others, besides me. They're ready whenever you are. And there's going to be a dueling tournament this afternoon you can watch to pick up the fighting style stuff."

"Sounds good. I'm ready to start teaching, but we should probably do a little more with the cave first; I'm not sure what kind of furniture you'd expect for something like this."

"Nothing fancy. Some cushions on the floor would be plenty."

Nod. "Is there someplace we can get those?"

"Yeah, there's a storage room on the third floor. I'll show you after breakfast."

Nom!

Nom!

The kobold wants to stick around for a little while to see which fruits are popular, but then they can to up to the storage room.

Answer: all of them. But the new ones go first, followed by the pinkish ones from yesterday.

The storage room contains a variety of miscellanea. Ana picks six cushions.

"These should work."

"Mmhmm." The kobold takes them and teleports them to the workroom.

"All right, let's go find some new mages," she grins.

"Yeah."

New mages: are in one of the interior courtyards, chatting amongst themselves.

The kobold takes the opportunity to watch them for a minute or so before going over to introduce herself. Is there anything interesting to be learned from their body language?
