It's perfectly understandable that they'd be interested because it's shiny; it is shiny. And it's important for more than just the Masters to know what's going on; that's so deeply ingrained into the kobold's understanding of how the world works that she doesn't even think about it. She's very patient with that phase of the proceedings.

Technical discussion is important too, though. The transition to that is subtle, but definitely happens: she starts giving longer, more complicated, answers, getting into potential strategic considerations, asking questions herself - half the time she has her hands in a portal, signing to Bar, so she can retrieve books that answer questions she can't herself. ("Be careful with those, and I need them back - they're no good to you outside my translation spell, anyway. ...translation tech? All right, but do make sure I get them back, they're borrowed.")

Milliways exists. She's been sort of quiet on that point because she's not really inclined to bring anyone there yet, but even without that, it affects her plans. She can bring them resources from there, like the books, and it's responsible for time being paused in her world; she'll eventually want to undo that, since it might be inconveniencing people in this world, in which case she'll be much less free to spend time here, but they can go to Milliways and take advantage of time pausing in both places.

Teaching them her magic can be done with intermittent attention on her part, so long as they understand that her directions are important to follow carefully, especially for the first phase of learning. They can expect it to take three to four months for most people to learn the basic skill to the point where they can cast safely; possibly longer, but it's very rare for it to take more than six months if someone is practicing regularly. Once they've reached that point, she'll start teaching them the teleportation, which she hasn't taught anyone yet, but expects it to take a few months for them to start being able to do useful things and a few years for them to start being able to do complicated things. That's for mages; spellbearers are a different thing, and while using a spell that's been cast on you sometimes takes practice to do well, being a spellbearer is much quicker to get the hang of, and generally safe unless you've gotten hexed.

...yeah, hexes are a thing. There's nothing stopping a mage from casting a spell on someone that uses really obnoxious or even torturously life-altering triggers or effects. That's a big part of the reason she's being really cautious about the idea of teaching anyone to cast. And if they're not comfortable with having someone who can do that in their midst, she can just go, that's fine, perfectly understandable decision on their part if that's what they want - do let her finish talking, first, though? She's planning on being busy elsewhere tomorrow anyway, they have time to debate it later.

The fact that she can cast spells that recognize specific uses of the force was covered with the basics; here's a more technical description of how that works, complete with sketches of what her magic-vision gives her. She didn't bring up that she wants to see if she can tell the difference between Jedi and Sith, then; she does now. She suspects she can do it; the hardest thing is presumably going to be finding a Sith she can safely observe. She hasn't had any good ideas for that yet. But if she can - and especially if she can recognize Sith by sight, without having to wait for them to take a particular action - that's obviously revolutionary. Traps that can be left in public places and only react to them? Yeah. So much better than having to kill them.

...yeah, she does actually want to do something about the Sith that doesn't involve death. They need to stop being allowed to hurt people; that doesn't automatically mean they need to stop being allowed to live. She can teleport people places. She can teleport people to other universes. This is probably a solvable problem.

The archivists are very interested in the books she produces, and make copies to examine in further detail later. The revelation of Milliways produces startlement and a barrage of questions that don't have satisfactory answers. Satele intervenes after a short time and gently steers the discussion back on track.

The Jedi understand how to be careful when learning something. These are people whose most popular symbol is a laser sword that can cut through almost anything in the galaxy just by swinging at it. They know a thing or two about best practices in this area. The fact of spellbearers is interesting - people can do this magic without actually learning it? But hexes are not enough to make anyone want to send her away, she's been perfectly friendly so far.

The kobold's thoughts on the Sith throw the group into disarray. Some support her, some are against it, everyone starts to talk very loudly all at once. Satele holds up her hands.

"That's enough for tonight, everyone. You've given us a great deal to think about. The Council will need to discuss your suggestions in full. As you already have plans for tomorrow, let us plan on meeting the day after. Hopefully we will have come to a consensus by then."

With that, the group breaks up. People head for bed, or off to other locations in twos and threes to continue talking.

Ana sticks around.

"Council meetings are boring. Can I go with you instead? You can say no, that's fine too."

That went well, the kobold is pleased. And tired, and a little frazzled, but satisfied with her decision to do it.

She leans companionably on Ana as the crowd finishes clearing out. "Yeah, sure." ...yaaawn. "Might've pushed myself a little too much today; I might just take you to Milliways instead. If you want."

Awww kobold lean!

"Fine with me."

"Good." Lean.

"Okay. Bedtime. I sleep less than humans, but I'll want to sleep in tomorrow, so I might not be up before you are. It's okay to come wake me up if you want."

"All right."

Ana is most definitely not going to be the first one to move, here. This is too adorable.

Well. They might just have a problem then, 'cause the kobold isn't very inclined to move either; she was already getting close to the point of being touch-deprived and then there were new places and crowds and stress and, yeah, cuddling is definitely a good thing right now.

Tentative head pat?

...lean.

Pat pat. Ana is prepared to sit here for quite a while, doing this.

It turns out to be a very effective method for relaxing a kobold, or at least for relaxing this particular one.

Eventually, she falls asleep.

Whoops Ana did not mean for that to happen.

...on reflection, she's still mostly okay with it. In about an hour she's going to need to go to bed herself, but she can stay here until then.

...zzzzzzz...

Gentle nudge.

The kobold goes to roll over, realizes that she's going to roll off of Ana's lap and onto the floor, and startles awake. She rearranges herself into a more vertical position, chuckling lightly. "Thanks, I needed that."

Smile.

"My turn to go to bed now. I'll find you in the morning?"

The kobold grins, and nods, and teleports off to bed.

In the morning, she steps out of thin air when Ana checks the cafeteria for her.

"Hey there! Guess you didn't sleep later than me after all!"

She chuckles. "Almost did. Breakfast?" she heads over to the cafeteria line. "I want to do a little scouting today, and then go to Milliways whether I find something that way or not - get things set up for me to be here for a while. We can stay for lunch and then finish getting my cave set up, and then come back here for dinner - I won't be surprised if we get a crowd again, but I should be okay to handle one by then."

"Sounds like a plan."

The selection on offer for breakfast is a little different than lunch or dinner. More grains, fewer meats. Ana, as is her wont, takes some of everything plus a cup of stimcaf.

The kobold is really not big on processed food, but finds enough things that suit her, anyway. She skips the stimcaf and has juice instead. Nom!

Om nom.

Ana finishes her breakfast.

"What does scouting look like when you have teleport magic?"

"Depends on what I'm scouting. Today, it means teleporting around to different beaches." Hand?

Hand!

"Beaches on just that planet or all over?"
