What a perceptive guess! It's like she knows them, or something.

Hee.

She puts her jetpack back on and goes up to meet them. Hungry?

...Some. Ana?

Yeah, I could eat.

Ana lands and heads inside.

Raafi and the kobold follow.

The kobold suggests a family-style meal again; Raafi proposes an elaborate beef-based dish as the main course.

Ana will supplement that with a trio of Itoroli salads.

And the kobold adds honey-glazed carrots and fancy mashed potatoes. Nom!

Nom indeed.

Raafi suggests crème brûlée for dessert, and does the honors of using the little torch that comes with the three ramekins to caramelize the tops.

Ooo that's neat! Ana approves of this dessert.

It is neat! Also, tasty. Mmmm. Saving room for dessert is a good idea.

And, eventually, dinner is over.

Alas! Farewell, brave dinner, you shall live forever in our memories.

Heee.

The kobold and Raafi are at the cafeteria for breakfast the next morning at the usual time; class is uneventful; there aren't any Sith in the reception area when the kobold checks. Lunch is cuddlesome, and then the kobold takes her leave to go see Occlus.

"Hello."

"Hi. Is there anything in particular you'd like to work on today?"

"Did you bring the magic items?"

The kobold nods, and retrieves a few things from a twineportal, enspelling each one before putting it on Occlus' desk.

Occlus examines them with the mage-sense.

Aside from being made of unfamiliar materials using unfamiliar techniques, they're unremarkable to the mage-sense.

"Even knowing the magic-detection form you can't sense magic directly," says the kobold when Occlus reopens her eyes. "You have to use it in a spell."

"I suspected as much. But it seemed worthwhile to check."

Occlus takes a clear sheet of flimsi and enspells it. Now what do they look like?

All three have magic flowing through them, modifying it without retaining it; there are differences in how the magic flows, from simple to convoluted.

"Hm. And you likened this to the way Jedi use the Force?"

Nod. "None of them are very close, but if you cast a spell with a trigger that all three of these would activate, Jedi would activate it too."

"I see. Would you be willing to sketch what you see when you look at me with the magic detection?"

"Sure. I actually have a few different versions of magic-vision, now, sometimes for subtle things it's better to make a custom spell; I can show you my general magic vision and then the basic force-user-specific one?" She already has her sketchbook out by the time she's done talking.

"Very well."

Occlus draws more of the Force than any one person the kobold has seen. It rages in a similar fashion to the other Sith she observed, but with a deeply ordered structure underneath that they did not have. The silhouette of her five passengers blend smoothly in.
