"They have souls, which isn't surprising. Wiping them every six months is iffy, my AI friends from Milliways would be upset about it, but a six month old droid doesn't seem to be personlike enough for it to be a big deal to me; I might want to do something about that anyway but it can wait until after I've made a dent in your slavery problem at least. I met T7, though, and they're definitely a person."

Grin. "You did? I like T7."

"Mmhmm," grin. "They like you, too."

Such cuddles. Ana might have a tough time making it to her own bed tonight. (Not really.)

Ana eventually manages to extricate herself.

She's at breakfast the next morning right on time.

And the kobold has brought Raafi with her again.

"I think I might go home this afternoon," she says once they're eating. "Everything seems pretty settled here, it shouldn't be too hard to get back to things afterward."

"Okay. I'll miss you for all of the five minutes that you'll be gone."

She giggles. "I told you it's going to be like a month and a half for me, right? You won't miss me but I'll definitely miss you." Lean.

Well then Ana will just have to give the kobold extra hugs.

The kobold leans into them.

She announces her inclination to leave in the afternoon first, and asks if there are any questions.

Nothing intricate.

Then class can proceed as usual; they're still working on casting forgiving spells.

There is one success on casting on a bowl of water, about halfway through.

The kobold is appropriately congratulatory, which is to say very.

There aren't any other breakthroughs before class ends.

At the end of the class she brings up that she had a chance to look at some droids and they have souls, so they work like people or animals for spellbearing purposes.

Nods.

And a portal back to Tython.

Raafi has turned up near the end of class as usual and invites Aren to stick around, in a relatively platonic sort of way.
