"Borrrring," Rex announces with a grin, but drops her hand. Looks to the others and tilts his head.

"It'll be nice to get some fresh air."

"I'll come. I've already spent the morning in the library."

"You know I'm in. You gonna be okay, Tam?"

"You taught me how to throw a punch, Joss, and Daddy taught me a few tricks most people won't expect. Besides. You know Rex'll hear me scream if I need to."

Her eyes are twinkling like she's only half serious about that last.

"Alright then. I missed my morning run, so exploring outdoors will do the trick!"

"Do you want to grab bikes or explore on foot?"

"Bikes give us more range, but foot makes it easier to do a thorough sweep."

"I vote for on foot. But that's just because I don't do bikes."

"We can always explore with bikes later. I figure for today we should mostly stay within the wall anyway."

"I want to figure out if there's any way past the wall. I still don't have a good sense for how big this place is."

"Even if there is a way past that wall, I'd be concerned about what it might be built to keep out. And if there isn't a way past it, it's obviously meant to keep us in."

"There is a third type of wall. Theme parks and gated communities use walls to control access but they aren't really trying to trap people or keep out anything dangerous."

"That is true..." she agrees thoughtfully. "Hadn't really thought about those. Haven't spent much time in either..."

"Theme parks are lots of fun, I wonder if whoever built this place also built one here."

"I'm sure we'll find out," Joss notes.

"I just found the one I went to loud... Couldn't actually make it onto any of the rides..."

"Yeah I used to have issues with crowds too."

They reach the landing for the ground floor. Alice guides them out the wing with the bike racks.

To the left there are some pools a little ways away with a small building next to them. To the right there's a baseball field. Beyond the pools is a greenhouse. Beyond the Baseball field there's an orchard. In between there are a trio of buildings in the distance and there are other smaller buildings peaking out around the edges of the greenhouse and the orchard. The path around them is made out of large concrete tiles and branches to go around the building they just left and towards each of the mentioned structures.

"Where to?"

The minute Rex hits the open air there's a distinct, unpleasant sound of bones cracking, breaking and reforming. And then a large dog bounds ahead of them, eager and exuberant, sniffing around.

"Rex," Joss groans good-naturedly, shielding her eyes with her hand to scan their surroundings. "I'm curious about that greenhouse," she states.

"You couldn't have warned us that you can turn into a dog?" Alice is clearly unsettled.

Zahn flinches too but before anyone can respond says. "Greenhouse sounds good."
