Karole finishes his food and leaves.

He pokes his head back in a while later to find them still hugging. "Were either of you planning to sleep tonight?"

"Just asking!" he says impishly, and ducks out again.

"Your dad reminds me of my mother."

"Is that a good thing, in context?"

"I like my mother!"

"And I like my dad but that doesn't mean I like every single thing he does."
