"Eh," she says, then debates it a bit. "Maybe a blob first, then if that goes fine we can go find something a bit harder?"

"Works. I mean, getting a good handle on blobs is like... Knowing the basics." Cynthia motions off in a direction.

Thea starts walking in that direction, looking for a blob.

Footsteps echo into the night...

Once again, it isn't hard to find blobs. They show up every few blocks it seems.

Yay, a blob!

She pokes at the thing in her head, expecting a Brad. Does she get one?

Yes! Yes she does. He comes in the form of sparkles coalescing into a Brad.

He doesn't look very happy, though.

Well, that's hardly her fault, so she just looks at him expectantly.

Cynthia hangs a few steps back, Libby standing directly behind her. Isn't much for her to do while everything is going alright.

Brad looks at Thea a bit more.

Then he summons a knife, still looking at Thea.

Thea: very unimpressed.

Brad taps the blade a couple of times, then finally decides to go attack the blob.

Does it do anything special as he approaches, or does he just get to stab it like all the other times?

It reacts exactly like the others have before it. Get close, it stares. Keep getting close, it enters attack mode and scrabbles towards Brad.

He gets to stab it! Yay.

Stab. Stabbity stab.


Such fun.

It dies. Such fun out of the most easiest of Shadows. Its life is already down to two and a half posts! It barely needed mentioning the fact that it dies, it is such an inevitability! Consider how much Thea has grown. Or, how bad this thing is. It's pretty pathetic. Atleast Brad takes some joy in murdering it. 

It drops a singular penny. How pitiful. Its existence is merely a footnote, already becoming a number in the kill tally... I think we're up to 4? Sure, why not. These things might as well turn into being slain by the thousands soon enough. They might actually go back to being dangerous if there was a thousand of them! They should start at least trying to group up, maybe. Such idiots. 

Brad's knife disappears and he picks up the penny. Then he looks at Thea. Then he decides to pocket the penny.

Well fine. Thea's not hurting that badly for money anyway.

She turns to Cynthia. "I think we should attack something harder this time."

"Sure. Do uh, keep in mind, harder things can usually strike back or cast stuff. I'll keep you informed."

Cynthia looks around for a few seconds. "Something... Faster with magic? Or a different one that's just tougher but not really... Hitting harder."

"Maybe we should go for the tougher thing first, then if we're still okay after that, the faster one?"

"Sure then. Shouldn't be anything besides 'don't get hit' to be worried about then." Arm motions to walk. "If anything is different, it isn't strong enough to worry about. I'd be able to notice before you fight it either way."

She walks. "Okay, cool."

Brad follows.

Walking walking walking... Soon, the target gently floats out of an open doorway... TargetS that is. A pair of them. Seems they already took notice.

Two floating, zebra-striped spheres appear. In the middle sits the familliar blue mask, upsidedown. Well, presumably upsidedown. They roll forwards to reveal a large set of lips, with a grotestely large tongue hanging out of them (much longer than could fit inside). They start slowly bobbing towards our party...

Okay, that's not freaky at all.

Thea motions for Brad to attack.

Brad doesn't seem too worried, and he starts walking towards the two things.

Before getting too near, he throws a knife, aiming first for the surface of one of the spheres.

The first one gets a knife imbedded in it, taking the hit and getting pushed back. It's still going.

The second floats forward to swing at Brad with its extendable tongue! (There isn't any saliva, it's just a very large tongue.)
