Playing! (Nexuha doesn't actually get a lot of chances to really play with other kids, so tiny Anakin is gonna have to show her how.)

They can play an exploration game! They'll need stuff to make a map, first, and then they'll run around finding and naming cool places and gathering little interesting things and taking notes on where they found them! Nexuha's the tallest so she can be on Grabbing Tall Items duty while Anakin's on Crawling Under Things duty. 

They should name everything after cats. 

Anakin's alt's the smartest. That can be Tiger Knoll...

And Nexuha Cove just past it! (Which has very cool shells they should definitely take notes on. Also which she should definitely bring her mom back to, it's nice and sheltered and peaceful...)

Their moms need to be encouraged to relax, definitely.

And, after they've explored a little more of the shoreline of Kitty Lake: "You act like a kid, not a grown up," she observes, idly.

"I feel like a kid!" she says, laughing and digging her bare toes into the fine wet sand, her shoes tied together by strings and swinging from her hand. "Being grown up isn't just one thing, or an always thing."

Thoughtful hum. "I wanna grow up but a lot of it's 'cause I want adults to not think I'm dumb," she says. "Even mom sometimes forgets that just 'cause I'm a kid doesn't mean I don't know stuff. And I wanna do more to help my mom and mama and everyone and I can't when I'm a kid. But lots of stuff people say about growing up sounds not fun, so - "

"It's good to know there's an in-between?"

"Yeah. And... Being able to do big serious stuff doesn't mean I'll stop doing small fun stuff?"

"Yeah. I didn't get chances to do small fun stuff when I was your size, just... The serious stuff. A lot of grown ups forget that stuff's important, so - you shouldn't."

"Are you growing up backwards?"

Giggle! "Maybe!"

But the next time they wind down for a break... "The local me and her mom are dating," Anakin confides suddenly. "It's weird."
