What-all are they even saying about him?

Well, no one ever specified what it was that these people had done to prompt this; he said "you know what you did" and Kaseo was likewise vague when she came up to him, so there's rampant speculation on that, as well as what various options for triggers relative to his vengeance suggest about his mental state; there is discussion of the fact that he is apparently not gay after all; there is speculation on what exactly it even was that he did to these people.

It's kind of funny, honestly.

Not, like, all of them conclusively, but it's been a popular misconception since he extracted that one revenge over Anaseverina.

The logic there is just bewildering. Why are people like this.

Anyway, no one's messing with him for a while after that.

Which is good!

But... hmm.

He likes his Anaseverina very much. But because he likes her so much, there are things he wants to do that he doesn't want to do to her.

He finds himself thinking about Kaseo a lot. She seems to like nearly anything. If he wants to make somebody cry without ruining his carefully cultivated reputation for only messing with people who mess with him first, she's probably his best bet.

One night he goes looking.

She's sitting alone in a less-used study room, and she grins when she sees him.

"Hey there."

"Hey," he says. "If I take you back to my room and fuck you up, am I going to start a terrifying cycle of revenge that lasts until one of us graduates?"

"Nah, that sounds great."

"All right."

He takes her back to his room.

Anaseverina looks up.

"Did she do something again?"

"Nah, this is just for fun."

"Okay, enjoy." She goes back to her magic practice.

They have fun.

So much fun.

It doesn't distract Anaseverina from her practice any more than miscellaneous animal torture ever does.

Eventually she leaves. It would be kind of awkward to stay the night.

The bed is not big enough to fit three.
