"That's fine, then."

So they can go to sleep. It is not a huge bed and it's kind of close quarters but that's fine by him; she is warm and soft and nice to be close to.

She is all of those things. And he is safe. This arrangement is not going to disrupt either of their sleep significantly.

Cozy.

He wakes up in the morning and goes about his day pretty much as normal.

Anaseverina accompanies him to meals and otherwise lurks in his room practicing magic.

He decides he doesn't really care that much why people are giving him funny looks. He attends meals and lessons and practices magic a bunch.

Anaseverina continues to be soft and warm and comfortable to sleep cuddled up to.

She is also adorably sleepy, some mornings.

"M'rn'n, Tn'sairu," she mumbles semi-coherently.

He giggles and ruffles her hair.

She successfully gets out of bed and does morning things.

It is a little while later, once she is more awake, that she snorts softly and shakes her head.

"Mm?"

"Vaguely amused by how badly I mangled your name when I woke up."

"It was cute."

"You think so?"

"Yeah."

"I completely misplaced the final consonant...Sairu's a relatively common shortening of your name, though, that part's less weird."

"Well, if you want a version of my name you can still pronounce in the mornings..."

"I've never called anyone by a nickname before."

He pets her hair.

Hairpets are so good.

They're pretty great! Having an Anaseverina is also pretty great.

That's really really good. Things would be so much worse right now for the Anaseverina if he didn't have her.

Yyyyyep. But he does and she is his and no one is allowed to mess with what's his.

Yeah.

Despite the fact that she's improving faster with his help, Savaross continues to disapprove of their friendship.
