Felicia is indeed intercepted by a worried-looking lady with pointed ears, and directed downstairs and out to a set of latrines in a small courtyard. They are not quite as well-kept as Clearview's or even Foundhome's.

Eeeeeeeh. She is so glad that Damian gives out Prestidigitation, and that the spell has a ten foot range.

He'll notice, but he won't attribute anything to it.

"That is a very admirable trait: that you would be willing to stake your life to protect someone dear to you, someone that is important to you. I'm not sure whether Felicia has mentioned this, but antipaladins are selected differently from clerics. We are called to do what is necessary. We are selected to approach without apprehension, to strike without shaking, to fathom without fear. Felicia is kin to me, by virtue of the fact that she is part of our group, in the same way you must feel toward the briars at Foundhome."

He pauses.

"Conrad teaches that the only way to true friendship is to make one's self vulnerable to the other. In that case, let me share a secret with you. Do your Eternals have particular spheres of interests to which they have a close attachment to, in which they meddle frequently? The domains of Conrad are Evil, Chaos, Magic, and Strength. The domains of Damian are Evil, Chaos, Charm, and Plant. Clerics, unlike antipaladins, attune themselves to two domains of their deity. In Felicia's case, she is attuned to Charm and Plant.

It would do well for you to consider carefully what she says to you. The followers of Damian are devious and cunning – Conradians are more honest and forthright. I do not wish to see her misled, but likewise, I don't want you to have misconceptions about what we're about, before we go on our adventure."

Allegra regards him coolly. "She seems to be considerably more about cultivated plants than wild ones, and I didn't see any trace of intent to help the Vallorn; if that's what you're trying to tell me, we would have a problem, but I am rather hoping it is not that?

I am operating under the assumption that you are, indeed, attempting to obtain interesting items from this place, make connections that will let you pursue returning to where you came from, and return there with whatever you have gathered; if there's anything else, you should probably use that honesty and forthrightness to let me know now, before I accidentally mislead you into the wrong strategy for the things you desire."

"Yes, Damian is more about cultivated plants, and no, she has no plans to help the Vallorn.

That is a safe assumption. See, you detected to me as Good the first time we met – this is one of my god's boons – which made me think that you would become hostile to us once we made our true natures evident to you. But perhaps it is miscalibrated, given that we are operating outside the remit of Pharasma. I am glad that you have no issue with us."

Felicia leaves the restroom considerably cleaner than when she enters. When she returns, she has a vaguely disgusted look on her place. She visibly casts Prestidigitation on her hands, even though her hands are still wet from when she washed them in the sink.

"Ah, I haven't arrived too late. Do you usually have to wait this long when you come here?"

There is a slightly incredulous expression on Allegra's face at the mention that she detects as 'good', whatever that even means; she smooths it away shortly thereafter.

"Yes, it can take half an hour or so to drag him out of whatever he's engaged in; I'd expect him to show up shortly, though."

She sits back down. It doesn't seem like she's up for more smalltalk, though. She drinks more of the tea.

Elias returns to his original position and also doesn't seem like talking some more.

As if on cue, Verys arrives very shortly thereafter, clutching a sheet of paper and a broken shield, and with three wands, a mace, a sword and several broken daggers variously attached to his belt.

"I'm so sorry to have kept you waiting! I'd heard someone might have a suit of Winterborn Warmail, which seemed worth attempting to chase down.

Here. I have a big list of items, which we can go through in a minute, and a couple of samples to try out, to see if they can be used by you."

He puts the list on the coffee table, and the larger objects down on the side table.

"This shield here is a Burnished Rampart. You see it is broken - the ability of the Burnished Rampart is that you can repair it with heroic vigour. Unfortunately, this will only work if you're skilled at using a shield, otherwise we'll have to try," he taps the mace, "the Thundering Mace, which knocks someone over with a single blow, which is at least a little safer than cutting their arm off!

A lot of the weapons and armour depend on this ability, so it narrows the list down rather if you can't, but there are still some worthwhile pieces out there. Also, this sword is a Triumphant Blade - it grants you one shot of heroic vigour, so if that turns out to work for you, we could think about something like this in conjunction with something else you like.

This wand here," he taps a metal wand with a reddish, bloodstained look, "the Redsteel Chisel, will let you cast Mend as if you know it, without any mana, if you have the right kind of magical aptitude; that seemed like the easiest way to test whether any of the magician items will work for you at all.

If they do, then this wand," he taps a simple wooden wand with a metal spike on the end, "the Runesmith's Gavel, will let you cast Mend if you have any personal mana to use on it, and this one," he taps a twisted, blackened wooden wand, "the Witchwood Wand, will grant you a point of personal mana; you can't use both at once, but between them we should be able to see how this interacts with your own magic, if it does at all."
