Yes, but actually no. She has something that is the same kind of thing as the Force but isn't *the* Force and honestly its making the Force a bit uncomfortable even though hers seems nice.

"Chuk, I know your mother said strange things about her world. And I did see enough to make me think she could have been telling the truth. But have you ever been trained in the ways of the Force?"

"The what?"

"The Force. It's a sort of power that pervades the galaxy. It binds the stars together and it lives in you, in me, in everything. You may know it by another name."

"The what?

I mean the galaxy this time."

...Huh. This does fit with her having been raised by some kind of cult on a distant planet, perhaps.

"...Come with me."

He's going to bring her to the helm and show her through the viewscreen the endless blue swirl.

"That's the galaxy. Everything out there. The colours you can see are hyperspace, the layer beyond the galaxy. When we come out you'll see it, the stars in the sky and the planets around them."

"Hey, kid. If he's back there making you get shot with a blindfold on, remember you don't actually have to do what he says just 'cause he's a Jedi."

"I said I didn't want a blind-, I mean um. Look some kind of demonic duck."

This universe is outside of our service area please attempt another distraction.

"...That was a joke, Chuk, I'm sorry. It's a Jedi training method," according to Ben at least, "but the shots only sting a little."

Yeah he's not stupid. "That doesn't sound good."

"I was on death row.

The order tried to get me off it.

They got me off the pyre.

They stalled for time.

But they could only make them let us perform the execution ourselves.

She was going to make it swift."

*sobs*

...All right, he's not great with kids but he's gonna have to learn soon anyway. He's getting the bottle of Corellian whisky from that night the twins were conceived, though.

"Well, shit." Great start, Han, well done. "...New Republic doesn't do that kind of thing. You're all right now."

He has had to rescue prisoners once or twice on missions against the Empire. He's not going to put his arm around Chuk, but he is going to sit down on the floor next to her, close enough to be comforting and small enough to be nonthreatening.

"You don't need to talk about it. We'll make sure you're safe anyway. But I still don't really understand who 'they' - the Inquisitors? - are, or how we can stop them doing this to anyone else."

The New Republic has a lot of enemies already, there'll be a lot of sympathy but not much appetite for yet another war, oh wait he means the Jedi Order namely him.

"I don't have a real education, but I don't think I am from the galaxy."

What has Luke been doing this time.

"That doesn't mean you can't stay here."

"If we don't go back the inquisition will start burning people again.

That's why we can't stay here."

"The responsibility for that is theirs, not yours. And we'll find a way to stop them, whoever they are, anyway."

"I hope you do, but I don't care about responsibility I care about what happens to people."

...

That might be one of the most Jedi things he's ever heard.

"I thought that was a promise your mother made to the Inquisition. What if she just can't take you back?"

"Kid, tell us where the Inquisition are hiding now and this whole problem turns into so much thin plasma."
