Erika knows the route to school pretty well. She walks it every day, after all. She could do it almost in her sleep, which means it's a good opportunity to get lost in her own thoughts for a while. Something new and unexpected she needs to pay attention to almost never shows up.
– And into the hand of the woman who threw it. "Answering the call from a new era, I am Sailor V, brave and graceful!"
The monstrous woman turns, tries to swipe at Sailor V – she's knocked down onto the stage by a woman leaping down from the rafters. "Warrior of a new era, Sailor U, here to fight with brilliance!"
"You attacked a beautiful, hardworking young girl's dream! That is simply unforgivable! In the name of the Moon, we will punish you!"
Does this count as a point for the Kinsei theory? Figure that out after she takes advantage of the distraction by tossing out a "Moon Tiara Action!"
Her blow strikes the woman straight in the chest – she's harmed, clearly, but not out –
"Now, Minotauron!" And then two horns shoot to either side of the woman's body – and with a scream, she dissolves into speckles of light and glowing music notes. The lights are absorbed into the monster's horns.
"You assholes – !" Sailor U spins to face them. "That energy belongs to these humans! Return it now," she snarls, "And I'll consider letting you leave this solar system with your lives."
The 'assholes' apparently took advantage of the chaotic fight to summon more monsters – there's now four, in addition to the two of them – the three new ones are a tall woman-like being with a flower for a hand; a lion with a woman's breasts; and a woman with four faces and eight arms and eight legs, sitting on a floating lotus flower.
"Like hell! We need this energy!" the boy, Ail, shouts back.
Sailor Moon also turns. "So do the humans, and they had it first! Give up now or face justice, no matter how many monsters you summon."
"I'd like to see you try," snarls An, leaning forwards –
– But Ail puts an arm out in front of her. "Wait, An," he says, then turns to the Sailor Guardians. "A fight benefits none of us, even though we'd win – but you clearly don't know the danger you're in right now, what's coming for this planet in the future – we do. We'll tell you everything we know, if you agree to give us energy, or if you leave us alone to gather it ourselves. After that, we'll leave this planet for good."
"We have proof," Ail says, angrily.
"You can't mean to show them that – ? It's sacred!" An protests.
"Who's left to care?" he snaps back. "What matters is that we survive, An!"
"You, An, said no amount of goodness can save us from what's coming – and that 'it didn't save Sailor Makai.' Then Ail said the threat relates to something coming from this planet – a threat from outside our solar system?"
"...Yes," Ail admits, reluctantly. "You're truly the Guardian of Intelligence. But we won't let slip anything else, not without a deal!"
"They'll recover in a day or two. It's no worse than a cold," An says, crossing her arms.
"Bullshit," says Sailor U. "You don't belong here, and you've already attacked humans – we can't trust you, and we can't let you go unpunished." She raises an arm, and wind gathers around her –
– And then she flinches back, her building energy cutting out –
"If even a rose has its thorns, then so must even a thorn have its rose! Enemies or not, their offer is sincere – and delinquent children deserve guidance, not punishment."
