"I think so!" Bounce bounce.

"How good are you at climbing, then?"

"Trees? Very. Rocks? I'm learning."

"I'll teach you some more, then."

"Just remember that I can't reach as far as you can."

"I'm unlikely to forget your size..." she says, tone appreciative on top of the teasing. 

"In a good way, right?"

"In a very good way."

"In a portable way? If, y'know, I have trouble with any particularly hard cliffs?" Or getting up into your extremely tall bed, maybe.

"I'd be happy to give you a boost."

"I'll remember that."

"Getting out of this cavern might require a step up itself, too, if I'm remembering correctly there's a steep part..."

"We can practice there."

"A good early opportunity."

"Though we should see how easily I can pick you up before then..."

"I won't complain about that."

Grin.

And scoop?

Alaudala: very easy to scoop. Conveniently sized for cuddling in Durin's arms.

"Nice and lightweight and maneuverable." She hefts Alaudala demonstratively, settling her so she's craddled in only Durin's left arm, head on Durin's shoulder. 

She nuzzles in.

"You're very strong," she says appreciatively.

She flexes her very impressive bicep a little. (She's mostly muscle, which is at least more comfortable than being mostly bone. Probably that much sheer muscle would be very unhealthy on a hobbit, but she makes it work. And Alaudala currently has a very good up close view of the tight cords of her shoulder girdle and neck, and of her back if Alaudala cranes her head a bit.)

"Many dwarves are."

Alaudala is thoroughly appreciating the perspective.

"I like a strong woman."

Squeeze. "Good; I'm finding I like picking you up."

"I might get lazy if you do it too much, though. Forget how to walk on my own."

"I'll be sure to exercise moderation."

"And I'll be sure to moderately exercise!" she cheers.
