He can help with getting it where it won't float off or be damaged, too.

Then into the cave! -Wait it's dark in there, maybe she needs like a torch or something.

Or a river spirit! 

He starts glowing, as one does when one's friends can't see in the dark. 

So cooooool.

"I am, thank you for noticing."

"I am observant like that, y'know."

"I do! It's part of your great charm."

"Uh huh!"

Then with the dark problem sorted, onwards.

The cave twists and turns upwards for a bit, the stream continuing to tumble down rocks - fed by a few drips in the ceiling, but...

Eventually, they reach a high, cold part, and pass a large crack with ice crumbling slowly out of it. The stream originates from past that, but - it seems that's what's feeding it.

There's a lot more cracks and side passages up here, actually, including what sounds like a separate stream past a dark gap in the cave wall.

Brrr. Kinda chilly. She'll need to cling on to River Gold for warmth.

It's a bit weird for a cave to go up, usually you think about a cave and it's deep not high, but these are tall mountains so it kinda makes sense.

Alaudala wants to go investigate that other stream, since they've more or less found the end of this one.

(He's nice and warm in addition to nice and glowy.)

Yeah - and he can keep following her like this so long as there's water, so it's good to take the opportunity when they have it...

Then: on through the crack to find the other stream? 

Gotta wiggle through, yep.

He cheats and turns a bit watery (after having fun watching her squirm her own way through, of course).
