"I think there are some skills I can still improve on and will when it feels safe to do so vary up my approach in the field to work on - aim, efficiency, and try variant approaches, but - I have decided to take a break from regular power use practicing, I feel like I get a lot less out of it than I used to."

(Her facial expressions tighten just a bit. If this hard to talk about, what's the plan when she actually asks)

Phoebe nods. "Did you decide that before the confluence hit?"

"I was considering it. I'd already dropped down to only an hour or two once a week."

"You took on a pretty dense workload, too, do you mean to keep that up?"

"Yes, at least for the duration of the confluence. I'm very good at dungeon work, and I think it's really important." She swallows. "I... probably want to re-evaluate my work-life balance, once it ends." She lets a tiny bit of the guilt she feels about the concept leak into her words.

what a waste of her potential that would be shut up.

"I'd be worried if you weren't planning on it. Some people are workaholics but it takes a specific sort of personality/backlash combination."

Flywheel nods. "It's definitely a failure mode I want to be avoiding." (lol. lmao.)

She sighs. "I would care about it less, with a different backlash; maybe I'll settle into a backlash management routine where I am doing a lot of dungeons again." But I have not been having a good time this last year, and in retrospect I sure should have spent less of it backlashed!

"Since you're moving, are you going to want a permanent silo? Paula tells me Traceless booked you a temporary one but it won't have any customizations you're used to."

"Yeah, I'll want to arrange something more permanent soon." (She might just end up living out of a silo, for a while. She's going to be busy.)

"What kinds of things would you be looking for there?"

She thinks for a bit. "Something downtown near a subway station, I suppose?" (She might buy some nice furniture, but she doesn't exactly have special needs, when it comes to siloing.)

Phoebe writes that down in some kind of notes document. "And you wound up with Traceless by approximate coincidence, is that working out beyond all reasonable expectations or should you be looking for more partnerships?"
