Tim's lounging in the approximate center of a painted 50-foot circle. Anyone coming near this circle had better be read in on Tim's buff, Or Else. Nobody has to be right on top of him, but anybody leaving the circle is going to get dropped right away.
-Oh. Oh.
"Meghan!"
He - almost starts to sit up, but he was told to stay still, so he will stay still.
Aaaaaaah he doesn't want to interrupt whatever guiding pile she's currently in. Does he recognize any of those people? SHOULD he recognize them? What if she feels weird about it. Even if guiding would be very welcome right now. Being present and in need of guiding constitutes an imposition on her, oh no, and there are PEOPLE here who might be OFFENDED about GUIDING, but he really couldn't help it since the medics put him here, so should he leave, NO he should STAY STILL-
Deep breath. Close eyes. Relax.
"Can we move him over closer please? He could use the extra guiding probably if anyone else is compatible with him."
Ooh, two new espers. Probably she should only poke the mobile one though. Streeeetch up a free hand from the pile?
And for his part, Tim will let Meghan up, and help her stand if she wants it. "Go see your partner, we'll be here. Okay? He's gonna be okay."
She'll take help standing yeah, there's really a lot of people in this pile and she doesn't want to step on anyone in the process.
She'll go over and kneel down next to Theo very carefully and take his hand. "Hey, you're gonna be okay. I got a bit banged up myself earlier but I'm fine now. Just relax for now."
She's gonna be unnoticeable to some birds for a bit since he's pretty backlashed. Sorry birds.
Hey, it's only Gridshell's right arm where bones broke the skin! Her left one mostly only has hairline fractures!
She wiggles the fingers of that one to indicate it's fine (careful not to turn her audiobook back on in the process), but: "If you want to get guided first I don't mind, doesn't sound very compatible, but the geosensing is cool! I do buildings but it doesn't work on -- a lot of earthworks -- and those are really important."
"...Hi Meghan. I'm not doing great right now."
He tries to reach up with one arm, for guiding, and turn his head to look at her, not realizing he has super-strength or what this might do to the straps on the gurney, or the neck brace.
Well. He doesn't notice any restraints. But the restraints sure do notice him. This particular neck brace is designed to be relatively easy to remove, and it simply cracks at the joint. Two of the buckles restraining his arm, on the other hand, simply breaks. Meghan, you're abruptly whipped by a half of a high-speed buckle. It doesn't so much as leave a dent on you, thankfully.
"Shit!" I fuckin' knew it, I knew something like this would happen. Netlink isn't dropped from Tim's power, but he's no longer receiving the lion's share of it. "Sir, just relax for a bit, you just need to hold still. Meghan, can you - ?" I don't know what she might do but they're partners, she's gotta have something, right?
Ji-woo has senses for impending medical emergencies; she looks up from her comm conversation with Minseo and: yep this sure looks like a job for Ji-woo!
Up she gets, to go poke this poor boy. As the bread on the end of the complicated sandwich that has become a pile, she is above average for her ability to disentangle herself, and she has a lot of motivation and some super strength.
"I've got this, don't worry," she says, immediately, power walking with the speed of medical professionals everywhere to be over at Netlink's side. How are his bones, is everything still in alignment?
He was in a helicopter crash- A gentle one, where they autorotated down to a landing just as designed and then slid on some rubble and rolled a couple times- And then seen to by medical people and blasted with a regen power for a bit.
So really, this section of the narration isn't entirely sure.
(Deep breath in. Deep breath out.)
She's going to try not to get in Uisa's way (her intensity is mildly terrifying)
Whispered "You can probably lower that arm in a minute as long as you move real slow. Aumento's power includes super strength with the regen so you gotta move very carefully."
(she's being very quiet but Ji-woo may manage to pick it up regardless if she's paying attention)
So: his bones were all set before he got put into the regen circle, but he's broken out of his containers to keep everything in place, and several things got jostled, but it looks like not too badly.
"Everything is still in place, you did the exact right thing by holding still. You're doing great," she says in her very best 'reassurance to a patient' voice. "I'm going to glue everything that might be sketchy back down, and then you can lower your arm, okay?"
Aww. No idea what this guy's like, but if Kuroko likes him, he must be alright in my book. Poor guy, he must've really been clonked. Glad he's not too badly scrambled.
He's not supposed to move. And he's feeling all sorts of things about causing problems by doing things and now everyone is focused on him and aaaah. And he was in a CRASH. Which wasn't SUPPOSED to happen. He's the king in chess; Useless, must be babied and protected, kept away from any danger;
He was asked a question. For optimal functioning of dungeon procedures, for doing his fucking job, he is supposed to answer those.
Talking requires movement. It was a MISTAKE to talk a minute ago. He has another way to communicate though.
:OK:, to the doctor(?) and to Meghan. Not even a word. Just a primal sense of [acknowledged], decorated with a vague halo of anxiety.
You know what, that is a fine way to reply to her. Excellent job, A+ patient, you get a gold star. She gives another one of her reassuring smiles. He has Done The Right And Correct Thing, Good Job.
"Okay, you're good to put your arm down now. The neck brace was just precautionary, I can confirm it's not necessary, but obviously with potential spine injuries we want to err on the side of caution. Tim, can you turn the superpowers down on me so I don't break anything getting it off him?"
"Yes'm. Done, it's much weaker on both of you. Still just a little bit, and, er. Mind your clothing." Since you're kind of...all out there? She's really hot, too DO NOT EVEN GO THERE
"I think it's probably fine to whisper, right? You won't damage anything by whispering." This is loud enough for Tim to hear.
More quietly "I can talk to people for you, I don't mind at all."
"Whispering can be bad... if he has jaw or ribcage damage." Why does she not know that.
He expected to be touched by Meghan or someone- Oh, some esper. Healer? Ugh, he's wasting a HEALER'S TIME. Shut up, backlash, his job is Be Healed.
Seems like he didn't break anything IMPORTANT? Maybe?
Arm slowly lowers. And whispers, "I'm. Pretty backlashed. Meghan. Um..."
Yeah no he can't finish that request out loud.
"Either whispering or power use for communication is totally fine in this case, he is being an excellent patient," says Ji-woo, with authority that will not be argued with.
She's fortunately wearing a stretchy sports bra, so she's probably fine for 'not bursting out of her underwear.' Not that she cares if she does, but. For other people who might care.
And she can quickly and efficiently get this neck brace off, and then casually tosses it out of the circle. It clatters to the floor of the barge with a bit of a loud crash; eek, that'd be the super strength, whoops. Anyway that neck brace was toast anyway so ~who cares.~ She gives a little thumbs up to the medical staff hovering outside of the circle, to let them know: yep it's fine, she's got this, no worries. No need for anyone to panic.
"'Kay. Cleared for guiding. You want to cuddle him from his right, that side's looking a bit better than the left."
Yeah, Gridshell is not going to argue with Baek Ji-woo, who among other things presumably knows what injuries he has!
