"I was thinking of extending the gambling the Crows Club does now."

"You wouldn't even need a new building, then."

"A significant cost savings. Though I do have plans to buy out the neighbors."

"We can work our way up."

"You'll be pretty busy, running the gambling side and the brothel side..." Tiny smile, then: "Do you want help with any of that?"

"I would."

"I don't know that I'm - interested in - much of the social stuff yet, but - a lot of the behind the scenes is just another kind of secret."

"Interesting way of looking at it."

"I'm an interesting woman."

"I won't argue that."

"Because you're a smart woman."

"You need some kind of advantage to survive in Ketterdam."

"Something you excel at, then."

"Did you want to start discussing details now?"

"Yeah, I do."

Kaz reshuffles the papers on her desk and gestures Inej over.

She sits more comfortably and starts looking through what Kaz hands her. 

Quasi-legal accounting is a whole lot like hiding and uncovering secrets, from a certain point of view.

It's certainly interesting enough, and Inej has a good head for it. 

Seems like they'll be up all night, then.

Not unusual for her.
