She hms, "If they are tiny sharks I might."

“Worked out okay for me, in fairness.”  He’ll sneak in one more attempt at a ruffle and then wander off to bed.

Huff! She attempts to fix her hair, gives it up for a bad job, and retreats to the bathroom for her pre-bed ablutions.

Update: Tim wanders off to bed chortling.  He does shower before bed, he did work up a sweat while using his brain, after all.  But nothing of note occurs during it and then he is very asleep shortly afterwards.

Similarly, Sara is abed within twenty minutes, and asleep within the next five. It's been a long day.

Now that Tim has a Routine back, he’s much more able to be awake at a reasonable hour.  By which he means 7:45.  Is there an awake and alert Sara in the house?  Or is she still snoozin’?

She is awake! She is poking around the kitchen again when he emerges, considering food options.

"Good morning," she greets once she notices him. "I'm not feeling like eggs this morning..."

Rats.  How am I supposed to get in an early-morning workout like this? “Want me to make you some waffles?  Maybe some bacon to go with them?”  Tim gazes mournfully at the coffee maker in the corner, but ultimately opts for some orange juice instead.

"Hmmm... Point me to them? I like making breakfast, it lets me get in a little thinking time."

“Well, if you really are sure you want to cook…”. Tim can be persuaded to “let” Sara make him breakfast.  And dig out the waffle iron and griddle.  And excuse himself if she’s really sure she doesn’t want him to help?

She shooes him, with included shooing gestures!

Then esper hearing will probably hear the sound of iron being pumped for the next fifteen to twenty minutes!  After stretching, of course.

Good. He didn't get to run last night, she recalls.

Meanwhile, in the kitchen, she griddles up a tall stack of waffles and locates toppings from around the room. Bacon goes in a pan, waffles go in the oven on very low to keep warm, and then she hunts down some fruit to chop up and add to the toppings stack.

She also puts the coffee on. It fills the house with its scent, alongside the bacon.

A slightly sweatier Tim has appeared!  He’s looking wistfully at the coffee.  “Is that decaf, by any chance?”

"No, but I can put some on next if you like. I only made enough for one cup."

“If you wouldn’t mind…?” Stupid caffeine tolerance.  Stupid backlash. In the meanwhile, he can start assembling a plateful of waffle, fruit, and bacon.

She pours and doctors her coffee as she prefers (two dashes of sugar, two dollops of milk), and then she cleans out the filter and sets it up to make a cup of decaf.

While that percolates, she puts together her own plate of waffles bacon and fruit.

And then: nom.

Tim is perfectly content to plow through a plate of delicious waffles et al.  And drink his own coffee(lots of milk, no sugar).  “Thanks for making me breakfast.  You didn’t have to, you know.”

"I know. You're welcome."

She eats at a slightly more measured pace, but the waffles and bacon and fruit disappear in time.

"My teleport is set for nine," she muses as she works through the last of her fruit. "Is there anything you wanted to do before then?"

“Well, I should go to work…”  Tim is visibly unenthused at the prospect.  “I…probably can’t walk you to the marble and make it to work on time, but I could get you halfway?  You’ve got an eighty-million-dollar ruby in your pocket, after all.”

She giggles, "If someone tries I can use it as a blunt object! It will be of some use that way. You're welcome to walk with me, though. It will be a bit of exercise before you have to be flat for eight hours, yes?"

“Exactly.  This Thursday and Friday are my dungeon days, unless an emergency pops up.”  Tim will tidy up the kitchen(read: throw everything in the sink) and escort Sara to the door.

Sara will collect her things, already bagged, from the foyer, and then they can get going!

She fiddles with an earring as they walk towards the station.

"Say, did you get a selection of metals with that jewelery set up?"

“Yes’m, I did.  So there’s something we can make next time.  Aside from, you know.”

"Mhm! And you can practise, too. I bet silver and gold will be easy enough to handle, if you sourced them. We probably should not source most of our metal from the ground ourselves," she smiles sheepishly.
