"Oh, that's very kind of you," she nodnods! "I'm not a-" she lets out an inelegant snort, "-a humanitarian."

Tim cracks up.  Snorting, gasping, wheezing.  Covering his mouth, so that nothing Unfortunate happens.

Giggling! Almost more at his reaction than her own joke, his laughter is contagious.

Tim is forced to set his plate on a table so that he doesn't knock it over.  "Oh no, my stoma-a-a-aach!"

"Oh no-" she gets out, "-you warned me about the food poisoning-"

It takes him a second, but once Tim understands that?  He's howling.  Fully-body convulsive fits of laughter, tears in his eyes.  He's actually alarmingly close to falling off the sofa.

She grabs onto his shirt, still giggling. Unfortunately this really only leads to his shirt stretching out as he continues to teeter on the edge of the couch.

He flails a little bit, tries to recover his balance, and falls while laughing.  This results in a pretty tolerable breakfall and Tim lying with his legs on the couch, and his back and shoulders on the floor.  If anything, he's laughing even harder than before.

She shakes her head, half worried, half amused, and slips down to sit next to him on the floor and wait his laughter out.

He makes a reassuring gesture at her in between spasms of laughter.  He does get himself together after a few minutes.  "Not..a...humanitarian...heh...Hooo boy."

She pats his leg lightly.

"Are you feeling okay? That was a lot."

"It was just very funny.  And it was kind of a long day, you know?"  Humanitarian...pfffft.

"Mhm. It really has been. Maybe we should take a little decompressing time after we eat? Just to get our heads back on right." Though she might just have a nap, honestly.

"Mmmh.  Yeah.  Maybe in a few minutes."  He's pretty comfy where he's laying and doesn't, actually, want to get up.

Well, Sara is going to continue eating her delicious pasta while seated on the floor.

Will he take the occasional pasta fork if it's poking him in the lips?

Maybe a couple.  After the third, he’ll raise his hand in a warding gesture.

More for her! Omnom.

The show is still playing. Sara will refocus on the ongoing hat rescue.

About fifteen minutes after his fit of hysterical laughter, Tim has decided that lying upside-down on the ground isn't comfy anymore.  He finishes his roll while being careful not to bonk Sara or her delicious food.  "Okay.  I'm gonna - go upstairs for a bit, if you don't think you'll need me for anything?"

"I think I am just fine," she nods. "I might make more hot chocolate after I eat. Come get some if you feel like it, when I do."

"Okay.  Sounds good."  Little wave, and up the stairs.

Tim paces around his office.  Weird to think I have an office, now.  Okay.  Time to think, and for Tim, that means time to work out a little.  In between tai chi movements and the occasional bench press set, he starts scribbling on his Giant Electronic Whiteboard.

What went well?

Recovery plan after storm
Cool copper rock
Friend-shaped, still
She's very snuggly(drawback?  personal space?  long-term)
Boundaries
Food
Occupied during guiding - great.
Nothing important broken so far

What went poorly?

Surprise backlash
Weather
Had to draw on backlash during weather
Her backlash during weather - didn't notice.
Embarrass - carrying.

What can I do better next time?

CHECK THE WEATHER
Don't get caught in blizzard
Less carrying publicly?  :'(
Have actual meal plan, get food prefs.  Melted cheese doesn't count, everyone loves melted cheese.
Notice backlash - hard bc she masks.  Think about this, discuss w/Bill?
Hard to say that we did anything wrong w/weather, she said no forecast warning, no sign of storm.  Ugh.
Be luckier.  lmao :')

An hour and twelve minutes of alternating between dumping his brain into a computer and working up a sweat, Tim is ready to return.  What's Sara been up to in his absence?

Sara has been trying her hand at baking in his appliances, apparently. She found cookie ingredients, ergo: there are chocolate chip cookies cooling on the counter. There's a lot of cooling chocolate on the stoves as well. Hopefully he won't mind her using the ingredients; he hasn't so far.

She's just taking the second pan out of the oven when he comes to investigate.

Deliberate clomping to announce his presence down the stairs.  Possibly unnecessary with esper hearing, but.  Even espers can be distracted.  "Oh, I see you made yourself cookies.  They smell good!"

She waves a mitted hand to him as she sets the pan down.

"They're for you, too, silly. I could probably eat all of these but I don't think I would feel great afterwards."

"There ARE an awful lot of them..."  Nomf?  Nomf!  "I'll have to figure out a better plan than to lure you down with good food, you can have that whenever you want."

"I don't know, I can't have that lasagna back home..." She will also nomf a warm, melty cookie. And go back to the stove to put the now-warm chocolate to heating a bit.
