"Linear Algebra! It's pretty straightforward." (Skip may by now be familiar with Xeya's 'bad joke' grin)

"Because of the lines, yeah. If they're not straight they're not lines."

Happy nodding. "Exactly! You understand." 

"So by process of elimination 'algebra' means 'forward'."

heeeee! "It's the only logical conclusion, really." 

"It's so simple explained this way, I can't imagine why the teachers never said so when I was in school."

"Probably because primary school is a scam set up by Big Education to sell more college."  

"Aha. I am immune to propaganda."

She gasps. "The opposite of Garfield!" 

"Garfield doesn't say he's not immune to propaganda, I don't think."

She pulls up the relevant meme and shows it to him, giggling. 

"Yeah, that's Garfield saying it to the reader. Garfield himself is immune to propaganda, though, probably. - I shouldn't keep you if you need to go to class."

"Ahhhh... I hadn't considered it from that angle. Very wise." She nods solemnly.

<What time is it?>

<It is 3:32 pm. It takes you 15 minutes to walk to room 22E in the Math building.>

"...I should probably get going, yeah." She has to get her books together and such. (Her eyes flash as she updates her notes a bit.)

"Have a good math."

"Thanks."

...hug goodbye?

Oh! Absolutely.

She squeezes him kinda tight. "See ya." 

"See ya, Xeya."

She steels herself and ducks out of the room.

He'll get out of the way before she has to swing through again.

Huh. What was she - 

Oh, right, she was busy being very excited because she can heal her tiredness with her power ring which is fucking awesome!! But she should go get her backpack and head to math class. (She does this.)

As LinAlg gets out, Xeya gets pulled into some impromptu plans to get dinner with some new friends in the city, at a ramen place one of them had been recc'd. It's pretty good! Very salty/spicy, good serving sizes.

Once they've all eaten and chatted their fill, she says goodbye and catches a bus to the hospital for clandestine healing purposes.

Avoiding detection is more work than actually doing the healing, but it's not enough to actually be a challenge for a creative girl with a power ring. She gets on the roof undetected and from there, tiny filaments of blue light snake through the vents and identify patients in the ER who are badly hurt and aren't being actively monitored by a human.
