Induction: Nara
There may be an alternate timeline where Rinara has a happy childhood but this isn't it.

The day before her induction is like any other day. Nara farms, kills a few mals, heals a few people who got attacked by mals, spends a few hours helping Madera with her capacity, kills another couple mals and then goes to sleep in her warded tent, her enchanted spear Pāṟaittaṇṭu by her bedside and her knife (which is really only mildly enchanted and so doesn't need a name) in her hand.

When she wakes up she's outside the camp and she reaches for Pāṟaittaṇṭu and it isn't there - she's going to die she's going to die she's going to -

"I'm sorry," says Aunt Calama, she's been crying why is she crying, "I need you alive," wait what, "you have to understand take this - Calam shoves Pāṟaittaṇṭu's head into one hand and a bag into the other - murmurs a quick charm - Rinara doesn't understand - "Boston keeps their word never trust Taipei or Pisa don't break curfew and survive."

And then Nara's in another world.

(On her: Heavy-duty leather clothes suitable as low-grade armor, including boots, socks, mildly enchanted hunting knife, spearhead.)

(In her bag: More clothes, leather for patches, four needles ranging from the smallest for stitching flesh to the largest which can function as an awl, thread for them, beef jerky, spare knife, improvised medical kit - antibiotics, painkillers, band-aids, not a lot else.)
