Breha is dealing with most of the fallout. Elesse is, as predicted, being somewhat sequestered for her safety, but is otherwise unbothered.

...She wants to talk to Breha first, somewhat, so she can get advice...

She wants to stop being a coward more, though. So: fairly shortly after Elesse actually gets settled in, Vader appears in her rooms in the evening, her image sitting awkwardly on Elesse's bed. She seems... Stressed. (She's trying not to hide her emotions – but the sheer depth of her anxiety doesn't want to be perceived.)

"...Is something wrong?"

"I... I need to talk to you – I need to tell you something."

Elesse takes a seat. "Okay... I'm listening."

"First..."

"I've been lying to you about who I am; about my past."

"What do you mean?"

"Do you remember what I told you, when you asked how long I've been dead?"

Then, without waiting for a reply:

"Long enough the years no longer have meaning. Long enough I have chosen to let myself forget most of that great span of time."

"Yet, at the same time, I have just died; at the same time, I have not yet died."

"And yet, at the same time, I have been dead only those few years I had something outside of the Force to interact with. Time grows strange when you are one with the Force."

"...I have not yet died; I have not yet been born."

"So you're from the future?"

"In... A manner of speaking."

"I had sought to change my own past – I... Had not anticipated you or Lily being able to see me. My plans changed."

Then the obvious question that Vader is clearly avoiding. "How was I involved in your past?"

"I was your padawan."

"Oh."

"I'm sorry for hiding this for so long."

"I'm-"

"Sorry that the other me failed you."

Soft smile. "Both me and her were failed – by each other, by the Order, by the Republic, by the entire galaxy really. I forgave her and therefore myself a long time ago; and you... There's nothing to forgive, because you aren't responsible for what happened back then."

"It's part of why I've been afraid to tell you the truth – I didn't want either you or Lily to bear the burden of events you had no part in."

"Then... We'll do better this time."

Loving smile. "You already are – Lily especially. She's come such a long way."

"Though it's... Doubtful, I think, that I'll be born this time around."

"Are you, uh, checking?"

It shouldn't be amusing, but... "My birth parents were Shmi and Lily."

"All right then, I guess??"

"The backstory I gave you simplified some things it would've been hard for me to explain."

"Yeah, I bet."

"...I do still need to talk to Lily about – everything. She guessed on her own that she'd been my Master, but..."
