"Better than I was. Enough to get out of here, I think."

"I can help, anyways." She gives Elesse her lightsaber, then holds out her hand if Elesse's willing to accept the help with standing.

She'll take it.

Good.

"C'mon, let's get you home." Back to the ship?

Back to the ship.

She gets into a bit of an argument with Shmi on the way – she doesn't like that the kid endangered herself – but she's calmer by the time they hit the actual ship. To Breha, though, a bit quietly: "The Jedi will take Shmi, right?"

"I will see to it," she reassures the younger woman. "And I believe I have convinced the girl to give us a chance, as well."

"Good."

"She's not so bad really, but I'm not. Ready. To take care of a kid. I'd just fuck up."

More quietly: "...And I don't really want to share my Master with yet another student."

"...If the other Jedi refuse to help her, though, I can get over that. And Master Vader could probably help me not fuck up too bad, she had daughters. ...She didn't raise them, but that's better than me."

"I shall keep that in mind."

"Think she'll do well as a Jedi, though."

Vader turns to them, lingering from where she'd been walking ahead. "Make sure she actually makes friends her own age, though," she says, quietly. "And... Keep an eye on her. She's both prescient and headstrong; those traits make for a dangerous combination."

"We will make every effort to see she succeeds."

Small, somewhat sad smile. "I know. I still worry for her."

"Well. I will see your fears baseless."

"I'm grateful, truly."

"I don't mean to criticize the Jedi with my worries – I trust you with her."

"Thank you."

Nod. "Let's get going," she says, as they finally reach the ship.

"I'll comm Meinwen, let her know Elesse's okay, then get the ship in the air," Fidela says, turning for the cockpit.

"I'll handle getting our guests settled, then."

"Thanks."

Breha and Elesse would like at least a semi-private place to talk.

"There's a bedroom with bunks the two of you can have," she says. "It locks from the inside; Fidela or I can override that, but there'll be a warning chime and a delay if we do. I'll let Fidela know to give you two space, though, and I can keep Shmi entertained while you talk." (She shows them to it and gives them both the codes for the lock.)

Then Breha and her padawan will disappear to have their (long overdue) talk.

Vader sits with Shmi, mostly, until the kid gets squirrelly and heads back to the small room Fidela's said she can have – Vader goes to Fidela, then.

She's hiding in the cockpit, still.
