Huang ends Sunday with all her homework done.

This time.

Next week will be harder - she picked up ten shifts on Friday night, and got two done then and two on Saturday and reserved the rest of the weekend for study and found her Korean exercises more challenging than expected and didn't get any more shifts completed. She has five more days for the remaining six, but the rest of the week has classes. So she'll be skipping more. Technically she shouldn't have had to skip anything last week, since the freshmen didn't get shifts right away, but she's taking some from Tianjin sophomores and those don't have a gap for the freshmen inudction. Which is how she got the cut on her leg and she's lucky that's all.

She plans out her schedule. She will turn in her econ assignment and collect the new one and spend the rest of that period doing pushups for mana, possibly in the classroom if it doesn't seem like it will bother her classmates, and try to read from the book while doing so. She will attend her entire Korean history course, as it has a lecture, and try to get her assignment for that done within classtime. She will eat lunch very quickly while studying the spells that are on her maintenance slips to learn, and spend work period cleaning the sophomore level bathroom in section two. She will attend language lab, since she's finding Korean a slog, but she will spend as much of it as possible standing on one foot to recover the mana it will take to finish the whole bathroom in time. She's going to... attend intro incantations, it's too useful to pass up if she isn't absolutely wedged, and try to do two more shifts after classes, and if she can't she can skip less conservatively afterwards. Then dinner, then mana-building interspersed with Korean homework. That will put her slightly ahead if she's successful. If she's on schedule on Tuesday she can go to the first half of Romance of the Three Kingdoms, if not the whole thing. Applied math is - not valuable exactly but she doesn't have the spare mana to buy homework, and should save snack tokens for when she's in a crisis, not for when she is vaguely nervous. The theater class seems almost totally worthless to her, and it's the last class of the day, so she can leave as soon as she's dashed off three-quarters of an essay after a skim of the assigned reading, and then it's mana and cleaning, all evening...

She misses the sun, and the rain, and eggplant, and bok choy, and...

... and it's bedtime.
