Definitely so. (Ear scritch.)

Berengere melts a little bit.

This is also a chance for her to scan the rest of the room, see who's taking an interest, which groups are forming and dissolving...

And nobody thinks anything of a sub with her dom's hand under her hood turning her head in odd directions. No one thinks she'd be staring.

It's a very good position, for deflecting the wrong kind of attention and drawing the right.

She is being so helpful. Subtly smug Berengere.

The most helpful. And if Lilou nudges her this way at this time, they'll catch the eye of someone else she wants to talk to...

(She's having fun, honestly.)

She deserves to have some fun.

They both do.

Good thing they're at a party, then. Having fun is the point.

Helps them blend in.

Another of Lilou's talents.

Berengere loves that about her.

Her myriad skills?

And the way she always brings the best one to bear.

No matter the situation. (Scritch scritch.)

Good girl.

Lilou's good girl.

The best sub in existence.

She will continue striving to be worthy of that.

Lilou knows she will.

And their skills means the process of gathering information goes very well, and Lilou cracks open a few doors for future exploration - gets an invitation to meet another escort the next night for some alone time, a recommendation of a tavern and an indication of when many of the servants spend time there, numerous friendly first impressions - a read on their suspect, who Lilou is increasingly sure will in fact be a good lead -

And a read on the room, on the quiet political turmoil in the absense of an imperial family or known heir. The sheer fact of the future of the throne being in question changes things - Lilou suspects some of the people thinking about a future without the Septims would fall back in line once a Septim is found -

But they're going to have a bit of an uphill battle seeding the ground for the Empress's triumphant ascension, especially if she doesn't develop a reputation of her own.

Still, there's corners Lilou suspects they can start with - the church, one particularly pious noblewoman disgusted by the quick loss of faith in the Septims, the youngest daughter of Countess Valga of Chorrol (who is barely out of adolescence and trailed by a bodyguard, and apparently desperate for friends), the third son of Count Goldwine of Kvatch (sent to the city to petition for more assistance rebuilding, deeply bitter with the Elder Council, his family's lives saved by Azi in the siege - who somewhat awkwardly recognizes Lilou's speech patterns even through the mask, though she pounces on that to get him roped in as a co-conspirator; she's considering reading him in more fully), even beyond the many people she could recruit as spies...

Elsewhere, (and also elsewhen but time is an illusion and the dragon may or may not be breaking right now so don't worry too much about it) some other people are not having such a relaxing night. Successful, yes, but this is their- fourth? fifth? Oblivion gate since Cheydinhal and Elliane... is growing weary. This city, Ald'ruhn she believes, is safe for now. But they weren't the only ones who went in and despite Azi's skills, despite her own support, many of the others did not make it out. The first time this happened she was angry with herself, the second time at the daedra- but now she's just tired.

Azi's with her every single time, supporting her, deflecting at least some credit to her (this worked the most outside of Cheydinhal and Ebonheart) - has coached her through being seen, being a leader after crises like this, not letting her tiredness overwhelm her until she's in private -

(But Azi's in her element, and it's clear now why every House and Tribe threw their banners behind her, a largely untried Outlander. The Moon-and-Star shines on her hand, yes, but more than that - she isn't tired. She leads seemingly effortlessly, and even now she's organizing rescue efforts - there's so much damage to the city, but it stands all the same, and the shaken people turn to Azi when their leaders are dead or wounded or cast aside as cowards. She mourns visibly, but never stops.)

(They hail Azi as Queen. She gently discouraged this when they first entered Morrowind, but - it's clear that the power vacuum she left when the Tribunal fell and she departed for Akavir hasn't been filled adequately.)

(She's coached Elliane on looking strong no matter the exhaustion that settles over her, and it works - )

(But.)

Now, though, Azi sits beside her somewhere out of anyone's sight or hearing. They've done the work of being seen. They've found competent people to delegate to. They've let people celebrate.

Azi leans against her and gives her a hug.

"Where do you want me?" she asks, softly.
