The following day has class as usual, their fears of Argent discovery not having caused anything unexpected overnight.
Well that was a lot of nonverbal communication wasn't it.
"And what do you like in a potential partner, Matt?"
"That's interesting to know," she says, not looking at anyone in particular.
"Matt, have you watched a good adaptation of Pride and Prejudice? I've been trying to convince Danny to watch one with me, but he always complains about my commentary."
That depends on whether she's going to work with him today, since that has seemed to change.
He's downright whimsical. As soon as he arrives, he starts writing on the board.
"Today we'll be looking at acids, because that's the only way to hold your attention."
He begins to explain the concept of pH, slipping in snide remarks about their intelligence between every other sentence.
Matt does seem to be her partner today, though the practical portion isn't actually that complicated.
It's reasonably interesting to watch the reaction; her classmates seem excited.
Matt works quietly.
"I'm not sure I should have gone along with that very impressive railroading you and your friends did earlier."
"And he could've asked you out before, and you could have just not thought about it before. Do you not wanna go out with him?"
