He knows he's not going to convince people he's not some lost kid who doesn't belong here; even if he could now, he gave himself away already in a public place and anyone could've overheard. But the last person he talked to was impressed he took so long to give himself away, and that seems like something he can shoot for - at best, maybe people talk to him, and don't notice, and hear it through the grapevine, and think that however impressive he seemed when they thought he was prepared he's actually ten times that impressive.
But also, it's the middle of the night, he hasn't slept, and he's starting to seriously wonder if he's getting mana from keeping his eyes open. That's probably starting to show.
He's leaning against a wall, away from the vents (he's noticed people avoiding them), arms crossed, watching everyone. By sheer dumb luck he has short enough hair not to raise any eyebrows and is wearing his usual cargo pants and tennis shoes and polo shirt.
