:[Made a power to communicate with the 'Genomorphs'. An impression of their conversation, a gesture at the crystals storing the 'transcript' of their conversation. Makes communication wider, looser, more associational. A sense of sparkling dawning hopeful willful protective warmth, cobalt curiousity and uplifting thoughts blanketed in emerald stars of shining firmness, her nature spilling out in the waves of her thoughts]:

She sets her up with some water in her bedroom as best she can.

"Tell me if you need anything more? For now, think I'm just going to sit down and rest and maybe do a bit of writing up what happened and everything."

"Rest and quiet sounds good, yeah. Thanks, Topaz."

"It's no problem!"

:[Bright simple joy, renewed and reaffirmed hope to help, a little relaxed rush as she eases away.]:

Ok so...

She finds her way to a spot to sit and type stuff up - she has a lot to say and having the chance to sit and not really focus on feeling anything in particular is... soothing, actually? right now she's more motivated by a personal selfish desire to get everything wrapped up and an empathetic concern than anything more hopeful or willful, and forcing it doesn't seem... too wise, so she's not going to her. Her rings aren't too depleted, either, which is nice on one level, and means on another level that she's the weak link in the system, for now, at least when things are this complicated and new to her.

To Martian Manhunter:

Just got back from a mission to deal w/ a fire at cadmus labs w/ mt. justice team - Miss martian seems ok, if somewhat telepathically strained. Rest of team is ok. Gonna send full report to batman asap - can link you, others if you'd like?

If you submit the report here it actually goes to all League members, and I read them, although not everyone does. But yes, please send me a link. She wasn't burned, was she?

Ok, so...
Might as well write up a version of her thoughts first and then fit things in? Having everything in front of her... helps.

Helped out w/ fire, metahuman fights at cadmus labs. They're doing some sort of experimentation with cloning, kryptonian biology, customized telepathic creatures, and Dr. Desmond had some sort of empowerment formula, too.  There's a group of networked telepaths there that caused the fire to get people to come help. Had a partial kryptonian clone w/ psych problems that we're going to need to help, too.

As for what went down...

Robin came to us with the news, and we got their pretty quickly from zeta tube. Miss martian reported telepathic connection to 'genomorphs', aversion to fire. On scene firefighters were avoiding it for being too dangerous, and the stairs had collapsed, so had to bring some water w/ kaldur's abilities and fly us down an elevator shaft. Fought some fires, and then ran into the cloning? pod of a kryptonian hybrid. Fought briefly, but they were too disoriented to effectively fight and were able to talk down. Got a power to inquire about things and think they did something wrong w/ the process, which ended up messing up his mind/body/soul connection. Should probably get a mage, telepath to look over them for health concerns, espec. given genomorphs. Didn't seem to have flight, heat vision, cold breath etc, so might have further medical problems, there? Not sure, but expect there's a lot to dig through, given how bad the sync problem was.

I wasn't there for most of this, but Dr. Desmond used some sort of empowerment formula to turn into a big grey monster w/ super strength, acid spit. Were able to restrain him w/ kaldur's help. Diagnosis power indicated mood instabililty problems, from a disorder or a narcotic.

Got a power to communicate w/ telepaths. Don't think they understand that much of the modern world but they understood that they were being mistreated and that they need to fix that, so they sabotaged the fire supression system as a cry for help. Talked to them to find how to restore fire supression, then explained to them a little about what I know of the circumstances around the company, the lab, reassured them that we were there to help, and explained a bit of the modern world to them. Have telepathic records of the conversation, if that's useful for anything?

They're going to need to move out at least partially soon, and have a dedicated contact w/ someone, preferably a telepath, since they have a hard time fully understanding people without that. Don't think they want to hurt anyone and they don't have any particular goals they shared with me beyond prosperity and freedom.

Overall, I'm pretty happy w/ team performance, though I'm going to need to talk to Kaldur's Armorer? about equipment and work on figuring out command and control for the team - ended up with me and robin leading most things, I think, but was pretty informal and made things a bit slower then they could have been. Also, I'm pretty green in metahuman combat, but that's to be expected, I think. Going to work on that.

She includes the rambly report in a link in case she missed anything porting it over to a formal report, and then goes back and fills out the report more formally with times, phrasings, and all as best she can recall. Unforunately, clean report writing isn't a skill she's developed much, but having more voices earlier is generally better, so...

It takes long enough to write things up that the others arrive back just as she finishes. They come through the teleporter looking excited (Kid Flash), thoughtful (Kaldur), and unreadable (Robin).

"Well, that went pretty well! Day saved!" Kid Flash declares. "I'ma get a snack."

"02 — Batman. Verified"

"... uh, after hearing what Bats has to say, of course," he hurriedly adds.

"After leaving the mountain without notice, without completing the mandatory safety training modules, and without picking a team leader in advance, I have only one thing to say to you all," Batman growls.

"Well done."

Kid Flash pokes a finger in his ear and vibrates it at superspeed.

"Huh?"

"You uncovered a dangerous conspiracy, acted to save lives and prevent property damage, and captured a dangerously unknown and unpredictable villain. Nobody was seriously harmed, and you acted with speed and discretion. This was, by all accounts, an entirely successful endeavor."

"But. Please do make sure that everyone completes the relevant trainings. They're they're for your safety. I'll certainly have additional suggestions after I've read your —"

His eyes flick over to Kid Flash.

"— individual reports. But even though we are going to identify ways for you all to improve, you still did well."

She nods, and then frowns a bit.

"I think some of the genomorphs died during Desmond's rampage? I got the impression they were some sort of group mind, but... yeah. Seemed pretty clean considering how messy a situation we dropped ourselves in on."

She's glad he's not upset - he's seemed reasonable but... well. A lot could have in principle gone wrong, if the genomorphs were more hostile or Dr. Desmond's powers were a bit more impressive.

"Ah. Let me amend — none of you were badly injured. But yes, there are genomorph corpses being found in the wreckage, and it's hard to say how big a loss that is to them without more investigation. And fifty-three people have various burns and broken bones, but they are being treated appropriately by the hospital system," Batman replies.

She nods firmly and understandingly.

"That's good to hear."

"I will await your reports," Batman declares, turning with a flare of his cape and vanishing back through the teleporter.

"Okay, now snack, then paperwork," Kid Flash declares, vanishing toward the kitchen.

Robin comes over to stand near Topaz.

"Hey — how are you doing? I think that was your first real superhero fight, yeah?"

She nods a little.

"A little spooked, honestly? Not from the fighting persay - that was intense, but I felt like I was basically in control for almost all of it. It was just - a lot all in a row rushing my down and when I was done I just wanted to go home and this... isn't home? It's a nice place, but right now it just sort of feels like the hotel that I'm staying in with a nice little computer lab attached."

She sighs quietly, and leans back a little bit.

"There's also a lot that I need to figure out about my own finances and living arrangements and that's been... pretty daunting on it's own."

Robin nods.

"That makes sense; people rely on their anchors for stability, and you've had all yours removed at once. Are there practical parts of your finances and living arrangements that I could help with?"

"Honestly... if I'm able to make as much money as I expect, I'm going to need to hire a person - probably a few people, really - to help handle things? Someone I can hand stuff off to sell things or arrange to buy things and make things work out in a way that I don't have to do all my own research, or maybe a point of contact for commissions, if I want to do those? I'll probably want to pick up a place around here too, so I might need a realtor soon, and I think it's customary good advice to get a... 'wealth manager' too if you're going to be suddenly rich without your infrastructure built up around that? Beyond that, there's plenty more petty shopping to do, too, even if I just want to sit around the mountain being a part of the team for a while. Just not too sure how to bootstrap that all up or what any of this should look like in too much more detail than that."

"I know that the Wayne corporation's financial services department offers trustworthy wealth management," they offer. "If you wanted to start there. But there's nothing wrong with taking your time, either — even though your life has been disrupted, you have food and shelter and all that jazz, so you can afford to take your time to do it right."

She nods slightly.

"It'd be good to start that process, if I can? Maybe I'm overthinking things and expecting this to be harder than it will be - in my head the problem is that all of the things that I need to be able to properly make money are all like, rich person asset management services that want you to have a bunch in the bank already? But given how much you were able to just skip through things for ID, wouldn't be surprised if you have your own backdoors into KYC and those circles."

She trails off, and shakes her head.

"Really, what I want, selfishly, right now, is to do something routine and comfortingly straightforward, and I'm at a loss for what even trying to follow that instinct would look like, right now?"

Robin thinks for a moment.

"How do you feel about laundry? We all just ran around in a smoke-and-ash filled building, and I can see—" they nod at the screen "—that you're already done with your report. I would find it helpful if you were willing to gather up people's costume pieces and take them down to the laundry machine. You don't have to, of course, I was just thinking that laundry is sort of the opposite of death-defying heroics."
