Snuggle kiss. "Well, given how excellently everything is going... Maybe we should go upstairs. Get my perspective a bit broader..."

"I think we can arrange that." Quick glance at Lily.

"I'll go entertain myself. Maybe in the library."

"See you tomorrow, then."

"I'll be down for breakfast." And she gets up to head to the library. 

And Ellaita, Anathema, and their Anakin can be off as well.

Ellaita has quite a few excellent points about competent women who drive you to your knees being a source of strength, Anakin decides.

Her body is very thoroughly tired by the end, so she spends a bit of time after sleepily snuggling her girlfriends before leaving her body to doze while she wanders back downstairs to figure out if she left her grading where she was supposed to. 

(She'll be back to her body before either girlfriend wake up, hopefully, but Anakin would rather not spend the night asleep.)

Elesse appears as the night is just beginning to shade into morning.

"Hey," she says with a small smile. (She's brought her grading out to the common area, though her body is still upstairs.) "Sleep okay?"

"Mm. Not so much, of late."

"I'm sorry," she says. "Anything I can help with?"

"It will just take time, I suspect. This problem has been building since- before."

She nods.

"I'm also here to talk, if you want? Or just - provide company."

"Thank you."

"I feel that- somewhere along the way, I lost control of my direction, and this is the price exacted."

"If it's a price, it's one that shouldn't be charged. You deserve sleep, and everything - good."

Tired smile.

"I appreciate that."

Small smile back.

"Good." 

"What are you working on?"

"Grading essays," she says. "Right now I'm on the pile for one of my more advanced classes, so they're getting quite long."

"What is the topic?"

"Analysis of processes of restorative and transitional justice after slavery is abolished in an area. Students picked case studies to focus on within that - older ones, to get an idea of long term impact of various policies, though they're allowed to reference more recent cases in comparison, especially when discussing applications of their analysis."

"Any particularly insightful takes on the problems?"

"Several, actually," she says. "Anyone who survived my intro to ethics class is, if nothing else, very motivated."

"Would you like to help me read through these?"

"I would."

She separates out several to another pad, as well as pulling up a copy of the rubric and her grading standards (rather detailed; she'd rather not make students guess what she wants). "Thanks," she says, handing it over.
