He spends a couple of minutes posting quite a spread of pictures to the new thread. Tokyo. Taipei 101. New York. Chicago. Sydney. Paris. That one airport in Taiwan. And a jetliner, for Avera, as well as a locomotive and an industrial robot wielding a blowtorch. Saves them all to the new thread with a bit of commentary.

What a different place from here. Mass manufacturing, transport and habitation... A very crowded world. 

How wondrous. I can't wait for more photos!

They must have the best clubs.

Those are some of the largest, densest cities in the world. I went for something impressive. There are seven billion of us and we certainly have our problems. But there's natural places too. Grand Canyon National Park - the national parks are specifically reserved natural ecosystems and wonders.

I wouldn't know, not being a club kind of guy, but this is the kind of thing they can be like. Those people are using cell phones in the foreground.

"Excuse me, your food's here. I saw the thread, really impressive." She doles out what looks like turkey sandwiches to everyone.

"Mmm, duck."

Alva accepts with a deep nod and starts to eat.

...Duck? Well, it's bird meat. Vaguely french, even.

"Thank you. I think I'd like to talk later..."

"I would like to as well. But enjoy your food; I have other business."

Avera nods to Rosalie.

Rosalie nods back, a bit shallower.

Cocoa doesn't look up from his duck sandwich.

Uh, well, 

...Nom. Pensive nom.

It's tasty. More flavour than turkey. 

"...I need to learn how to key things. Something you have to be exquisitely careful with, I understand, so maybe not until I feel more centered, but yeah. I have an idea for an automated corruption scanner, and for importing technical documentation, and - so much other stuff... Hmmph." Nom, nom.

"Ask Rosalie when you're done here, she'll show you." 

"I'm glad to hear you're interested in realizing your full potential."

"I'm glad you're glad. Even if 'full potential' is kind of a loaded concept. I mean, I probably could basically just sit in my room feeling sorry for myself, but everyone would look down on me including myself and rightly so."

"Don't let people put too much pressure on you though. I'm always free for astronomy or celestial navigation."

"Ah, thanks. I just... Don't have a plan yet, you know? I had long term goals before. Finish high school. Get accepted into a nice college. Now," Shrug.

"I see. Well, we'll all do our best to help you get settled in."

He nods and smiles, then eats quietly and posts a few more pictures - Saturn as seen by the Voyager probes, some of Curiosity's mars pictures- Kind of zoned out.

Time passes. Nobody else comes to bother him. The girls chatter a bit about work opportunities. 

"What kind of things does 'training' cover, Avera?"
