"Oh, right. They're contraceptives. Uh... Mind if I get them in a couple minutes? I'm not sure if I can have kids but definitely don't want to take chances there. They're good for a whole day after, though. Like, 100% success rate over a really long period of time. I just want to cuddle right now..."

"I won't forget them, you can rest easy." Kiss. "Let's snuggle."

"Mmmmhmm."

Snuggles. Lovely warm soft snuggles, her arm crossing protectively over Thorn's front.

She notices that she's a bit drowsy, but that can't be right. She can't sleep near other people.

Thorn pulls her hand in close and kisses it because she can.

Bys kisses her neck.

"We're looking for travel onward tomorrow, right? I forget if we decided for sure earlier."

"Yeah, I think so. The money we have isn't quite a gold, but with supplementing from repairs..."

"Enough to travel on. Boat would be faster than walking and I could be crew..."

"Yeah, I remember from the map that we can go out, down the coast and upriver again to get to the city. I like that idea, especially since you being able to work the journey will reduce our costs. So... you go look for passage while I do repairs?"

"Passage to Helsburg, will work for discount. Can do. Might even be able to bill us as guards, though the Guild has rules about that and E-rankers are, well... Not all that uncommon."

"Yeah." She cuddles in a bit more. "I don't like this plan, it makes us get out of bed with each other."

"Which means it and your Luci seed can wait... Five minutes. And nothing will be harmed."

"Only five minutes?" 

Snuggle. "Okay. I can be an adult."

"I'd say we're definitely adults given where we are..."

She laughs. "Yeah, fair. Let's get moving, then. There'll be other days spent in bed."

"I'm sure."

Cleaning cantrip, cleaning cantrip. Where did her pants go? Ah, there they are.

And her pants are... over here. Alright. She gets the Luci seed from Bys and swallows it down. 

A kiss for good luck, and then she's off to see about some repairs. She has her trusty sign with her and everything.

Weirdly enough, lots of people are coming to her today for repairs! She must have hit the local rumor mill somehow.

If need be she'll direct people to form a queue. She has space for a lot of spare change in her backpack.

She can earn a bunch of money fixing things! Including a lot of someone's old guns. Excited gossip reveals that the crystal mage Dalton from yesterday has been talking about her repair ability.

He himself shows up with a twisted and mangled gold ring once the crowd is thinning out. "Don't suppose I could get this one free of charge, out of referral services?"

"Sure, Dalton. We're friends, aren't we?" 

Make Whole does its magic. "We're headed out of town tomorrow. Give my regards to Ken, alright?"

"Sure. I know he can be..." Sigh. "He is my friend. Well. Good luck."

"Good luck to you as well. As for Ken, we just don't fit, no hard feelings."

The stream of repair-buying people continues.

Abyssia returns around dinnertime and spontaneously hugs her.

"Found a ship heading to the city. Negotiated some but the captain wants to meet you before picking a number. Leaves early tomorrow morning."

"Alright, I'll finish this up and head over. I haven't been tallying this consciously but it's a lot, people have been bringing everything from old guns to torn mail, a gold ring from Dalton - he apologizes for Ken again, by the way - and so on."

She takes a moment to do some accelerated mental math using her Chronobank. It's been... three gold, three silver, two copper, eight copper pennies.

Damn. 

"Actually, I'm going to need to turn this in to the Guild bank, if you wouldn't mind coming along? And then we can talk to your captain."

"Sure. Good run? A few coppers at a time adds up?"
