This is taking too much time. Her people could still be dying. They could also still be saved, if Lan Zhan went to them.

"Has my leg been looked at?"

"Yeah. I re-splinted it, but the medicine we could buy from villages on the way to Lotus Pier isn't as good as what Wen Ning gave us." 

Hm. Well, she should probably try walking on it.

NO SHE SHOULD NOT. 

"Lan Zhan! You're a worse patient than I am!" she scolds. 

Lan Zhan resents that. "I must know how quickly I will recover enough to travel."

"The answer is: faster if you don't try to put weight on your leg while it's still broken!"

Lan Zhan looks Grumpy.

What if Wei Ying tries to distract her with kisses. 

That's a pretty effective solution to a grumpy Lan Zhan! Wei Ying is very hot in a non-fever way, which is lovely.

Jiang Cheng walks in, makes a quiet strangled noise, and immediately turns around and walks out. 

Lan Zhan should probably care about this but absolutely does not.

Wei Ying completely fails to notice it! Kiss kiss KISS. 

Eventually there comes a break in the kissing. Lan Zhan snuggles against her shoulder. "If you won't allow me to walk, how am I to get to Lotus Pier with you?"

"We have been carrying you perfectly well."

That sounds Problematic. Lan Zhan doesn't want to be carried by anyone but Wei Ying, but she doesn't want Wei Ying to carry anything when she's still recovering.

Wei Ying, unaware that there is a Problem, pets her hair and nuzzles her. "It'll be easier now that you're conscious and can cooperate." 

"Cooperate with whom."

"...Me?"

"You are unwell!"

"My fever is totally gone, Lan Zhan," she says, demonstratively putting Lan Zhan's hand somewhere not traditionally used to check fevers. 

She tugs Lan Zhan into her lap and snuggles her without removing any hands from any places.

"Hh," she manages, blinking rapidly. "Wei Ying."

Were they talking about something just now. What were they talking about.
