"Cherry?"

"No, what's with the phone?"

"Just keeping myself occupied. I'm still here, darling."

"Guess that's ok."

"If you want me to stop, you can say that."

"Please stop."

"Alright."

And she puts her phone away.

Audrey settles back in with an appreciative coo.

Kumi keeps casually petting Audrey and giving her cherry gummies when she wants them for the better part of an hour.

Eventually...

"I think I'm okay now."

"Okay. What do you want now?"

"I want to sleep, but this is the Rose Bowers, so I'm not going to waste my time sleeping."

"Wise, I think. Is there someone helpful you could call?"

"Well, Hannah's out, and Lily is... the source of the trouble in the first place... but I could try Aurica."

"Why aren't you doing that?"

"Because Aurica is a condescending pain in the ass. And also me, and that's weird."

"But you still think she's worth talking to now."

"Because she's me. And because... she's my first."

"Ah. I see."

"I think I will call her, but not with you here, no offense."

"None taken. Could you get off my tails?"

"Oh, um, yes. Thank you." She shifts over in the bed and disentangles herself from Kumi's tails.

"It was no problem." She gets up, gives a little nod. Walks over to the door.

"See you around, Kumi."

"See you too, Audrey." And she walks out the door, getting it behind her.
