Killing Machine has been in plenty of crashes before. A quick tabulation shows that, in fact, most of their landings have been crashes of one sort or another. It was only natural, given that their aerospace chassis doesn't really have...landing gear, of any kind.

Getting rammed into next week by a giant space-mirror-snake-thing was new, though. They weren't anywhere close to a planet beforehand, but an instant after impact, there it was, blue and green and massive. The suddenness made for a rough landing, or rougher anyway.

Now most of the chassis is strewn across three miles of alpine mountain, and the rest Killing Machine is currently cannibalizing for field repairs of their core and combat frame.
