"I don't really feel driven to... Like, write down everything I know about technology and make getting your world less - well, ugly - my life's work... Though if we don't get a shot out of here in the next year I might make it a side project."

"We have enough to keep us busy for at least that long, I think."

Smile. "I'll put it on my bored rainy day list, then."

"There might be a few of those."

"Perhaps I'll leave your world behind slightly prettier than I found it, then."

Hug. "How magnanimous."

Snug! "Queering the magnanimous/ selfish binary, really."

That gets a proper laugh out of her.

What inns look like they have a desirable quality of bed?

The nicest one is right outside the palace district, with a good view of the bay from the highest back rooms - named the Blue Arch. A night there's worth a good bit, but the beds are promised bug free and soft, with complimentary hot baths. There's a few less expensive ones nearby, but none of them have the excellent views or the same level of gentle quietness.

Gold is for spending, and this is a worthy cause. The Blue Arch it is.

Lace flops on the bed when they get up to their room, grinning.

"Does it meet with your approval?"

"Hmmm. Cozy enough."

"Only cozy enough, hm?" She flops down next to her. "How about now?"

She rolls over to use Elana as a pillow. "Now it's perfect."

Pet pet.

Happy snuggles.

"We should go see if we'll need to break into the armory."

Nuzzle. "Alright."

Unfortunately this means getting up. But it is in service of a greater cause.

Hmmm. Unfortunately. But they can always cuddle later too...

She will hold Lace to that.

She wiggles out of bed, sighing.

"So - find a blacksmith or weapons seller or something, I guess?"

"That seems the place to start," she agrees.

"I think we passed one on our way in?"
