Accompanied/led by the mini-jellyfish, they return to the submarine and share their discoveries with the rest of the crew. All of it's fascinating, none of it's actually actionable, and it all only makes it more important that the Feds never get their little dictatorial hands on this system's resources.
When they emerge from the little Perception bubble, the mini-jellyfish contact the larger jellyfish topside, and get confirmation that these strange bipedal aliens are in fact friendly with whatever may be called this planet's "government." Not that this was strictly necessary, given that the safety protocols wouldn't really have a way to stop them, but it's always good to avoid unnecessarily burning bridges.
By the time they reach the surface, the Fed ship with Temperance's half-brother is closer to the planet, but will still take a couple of days to arrive.
